    According to this article, there is a fix...but comes with a caveat. I can't even understand the directions. What do you think about its content?

Is there a way to manually create a restore point (like right before I know I'm going to do something stupid like try to edit the registry?)
i remember back then it wouldnt be good to keep restore points as it could make viruses linger, or just was not reliable is that still the case? or is it worth making restore points?
