Hey guys, I didnt know whether or not to put this in as a driver issue or as a hardware issue. I chose driver issue because I believe that no proper drivers exist for this adapter. What I have bought is a TTX tech wireless Xbox 360 Adapter. I had no idea when i bought it that it wouldn't immediately work with windows 7 (running on premium x64). I have done all I can possibly think of doing. I have gone to Microsoft.com and found the proper drivers/software to run bot wired and wireless controllers but i am still unable to find the device. If it is any help, the device and the controller seem to work and connect but they do not connect to the computer. Hope someone can figure this one out for me.
Regards
Josh

It sounds like you'd have to go back to the OEM and see if they have drivers. My guess is, much of these generic accessories won't work. The Microsoft ones have been selling for about $16, so unless you have a driver from the OEM, I'd get the official one.

I do not find this reply to be helpful. I am experiencing the same issue with the TTX Tech wireless adapter. The fix presented in the reply and the auto detect feature of windows provides a software/driver download, but even after running the set up, the driver is still not recognized. If I'm not mistaken the "fix" is to buy a new wireless adapter endorsed by Microsoft and that doesn't seem like a helpful fix. I have spent several hours scouring the web for assistance and this was the best I could find. I'm disappointed that there isn't a better solution available, but I guess I will take the adapter back and buy an XBox controler that isn't wireless, this seems like the best solution.

Hey Guys, I ran into this problem too and have resolved it. Here is what I did

go to device manager
find the unknown device
click update driver
browse locally for the driver
pick from a list of manufacturers
Select microsoft common controller for windows
then you will see xbox 360 wireless receiver select it
click ok through the warning to force the driver install

The adapter should now work, hope this helps anyone with this problem.
