Thanks TimStitt.
Took a look at the two Win7 64-bit drivers in the link but both are for the cards TV2000XP Global and Expert which are also not bt878-based.

Check this out. I bought this TV card back in 2004, I was looking all over the manuals, install CDs and stuff and it just said WinFast TV2000 XP WDM! Not RM, Expert, Deluxe, Global etc. Needless to say that I can't even find this on the manufacturer's website let alone the drivers, and of course, non of the drivers for the mentioned models work on my TV card. Trying to force the drivers to install doesn't help much, as the TV card simply doesn't display anything when I open the PVR application. Sometimes it says "Cannot preview video stream" or something like that, sometimes it does start but there is no sound no matter how much I meddle with it, and sometimes I simply get a message "WinFast PVR application has stopped working".
This is one of the problems that made me switch from Vista back to XP, but I was hoping that with Win7 things would be different...

Respose to iron2000, Mattz, & Sopolias Falst

@iron2000 - Darn, I was hoping we'd got you working there. I guess the only hope is someone (with a lot more skill than I) writing those drivers. Did you try renaming the them to force the Vista drivers to install? I know it's a workaround and not a fix and may break your machine; but i'm just curious if it's been attempted with your model card. Otherwise I'm outta ideas mate.

@Mattz - My pleasure, I hope you get yours working. Please post the TV200XP drivers if you're successful. Good Luck!

@Sopolias Falst -Isn't WDM Windows Driver Model? Otherwise, iron2000 seems to have a pretty good grasp of the cards and chipsets, maybe he/she knows what drivers you need (if they are available). The only boxes I can think of left to tick (or not mentioned on your post) are:
- Get the lastest application, I think there is a PVR2 that works for your card that has replaced the PVR application shipped on the CD (this worked for me, with the PVR2000 card).
- Try running the PVR app in compatability mode (for XP). Good luck!

[LATE NEWS] :-)

Hey iron2000,

A user called MikeEx has apparently tweaked the old BT878 drivers and got them working on Win7 and Vista 64-bit; but for a different TV card. In the downloaded file there are instructions that include Winfast 2000 cards. I have no idea if this helps you; but you might be interested - here is the forum link so you have all the information:

His latest drivers are on the second page; but there is info about them on the first.

@TimStitt
That driver from the windows7forums is the same one I posted on page 1 of this thread. Its a 64-bit version of a bt8x8 driver called btwincap. The 64-bit driver is modified out of the last official 32-bit build v5.3.8 which is dated 2004. Actually I've yet to install Win7 so I can only test later on.

@Sopolias Falst
I guess you got the name from the XP device manager? If so mine says "WinFast TV2000 XP WDM something" in the XP device manager too. I guess your card should be either RM, FM or Deluxe. I had to look at the box of mine to find its version.

@TimStitt The aplication itself isn't a sproblem. Back when I was using RC, I remember that the Action Center found a Solution, and in there was a direct link to the driver. I was curious as to which driver it offered to download, but when i got the file it only said "X86", as in 32bit of course. Now when I try to troubleshoot it just says that Microsoft is looking into the problem blah blah blah.
I WAS able to use the TV card in the previous instalation of Win7 (7600) but I have no idea which drivers I installed XD

@iron2000 I don't have the box anymore, I don't remember it saying anything other than "WinFast TV2000 XP" and both XP's and Win7's Device Managers say the same. "WinFast TV2000 XP WDM" and that's it.

EDIT - Okay, since I saw that you guys talked about Cenxant something-something, I actually opened the case and looked at the card, it just says "WinFast TV 2000 XP", but here's a piece of crucial information: Conexant Fusion 878A
There's a lot more number, I wrote them down in case I needed them. This must be helpful!

@iron2000 - Ok mate, I'm officially out of ideas. Hopefully someone will post back that something we've suggested will work.

@Sopolias Falst
So the application is out, well box ticked *grin*.
If you have the CD (from an earlier version) and you look at the driver ini file you 'may' find out which one it is, look under [STRINGS] for the number.
However, based on iron2000's info in regards to the bt8x8 chip and your 878A chip marking. It seems likely that you have the same problem. If all the other drivers on the leadtek site don't work then this is even more likely. If that's the case, well... there are a few things to try earlier in this forum, all with an amount of risk mentioned. Good luck.

No use at looking in the .ini files
The disk contains drivers for "WinFast TV 2000 XP WDM" as well as VC1000, PVR2000, DV2000. So hell yeah, I didn't narrow down my choice, but did the exact opposite XD

Ok, got Win7 up and tested the btwincap 64-bit driver.
I got the drivers installed and tested with DScaler.
(Ok, my use of the tv card is just to play my PS2 in my own room)

It works, not sure if its the driver or Win7, the picture had less noise then in XP with Leadtek's drivers.
But there were moments of lag from time to time, again maybe its DScaler being not optimized for Win7 or it could be the driver.

At first I tried the install by hand method but the driver didn't install, then I tried the installer version which didn't install too but it built the (I suppose, correct) Bt848.inf.
So I did a manual "update driver" from the device manager, setting the path to the path stated in the error from the driver installer and it installed fine.

The installer I used:
