... And, believe it or not, I found the solution to my problem as well... Funny how every time I ask for help, I end up solving the problem myself :p
It seems the card was actually "Deluxe", the drivers finally worked under PVR2. Though at first I had no color XD

Hi All,

I too had this problem, but resolved it by renaming the blocked driver. I have now used it successfully for a week with no problems. Here's how; but use this at your own risk (i.e. I have no idea why Microsoft blocked the driver to begin with and there could be a good reason for it).

1. Update drivers for the PVR2000 automatically on Windows 7 64bit. In device manager the Winfast PVR2000 will be blocked.
2. Open C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\pvr2000.inf_amd64_neutral_bf23dd254cab18bc (or similar if your OS drive is not C).
3. Look for three files
- cxavsis (Security Catalog)
- cxavsis.sys (System File)
- pvr2000.inf (Setup Information file)
4. Copy them to a new folder in another location (e.g. C:\Users\testbox\Desktop\win7-PVR2000)
5. Using your NEWLY COPIED files, rename the Security Catalog to a different name; I used cxavsisTIM
6. Rename the cxavsis.sys to the same name (cxavsisTIM.sys)
7. Open the pvr2000.inf file in NOTEPAD and choose REPLACE from the edit menu
- In the 'Find what' area type cxavsis
- In the 'Replace With' area type your new name cxavsisTIM
8. Replace all and SAVE
9. From the Windows 7 device manager, right click and choose 'update driver'
10. Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'. NEXT
11. Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. NEXT
12. Select 'Have Disk'
13. Navigate to your new drivers (e.g. C:\Users\testbox\Desktop\win7-PVR2000)
14. Install and override any Security prompts about unsigned drivers.
15. Configure your PVR aplication and enjoy

Good luck!
Tim

PS: I've atatched the files I changed below, so you can skip the first 8 steps and see if it works for you... remember - use this at your own risk, everyone's system is unique.

When I instal this driver my computer restarts due to some phisical memory or something...blue screen. After that when I look at device menager under Multimedia controler I see that its recognized Leadtek product but there without drivers...
Please help me!

Hey All, sorry I missed your posts... must have escaped me during the Christmas blur.

In following my steps above please make sure that you do it for the correct card. If it's a PVR2000 then alter those drivers (else the hadrware won;t start in device manager), if yours is a TV2000XP then alter those drivers to force install and always use the PVR2 application the first one won't work. Inside TV2000 there are many releases (e.g. deluxe) find the latest drivers that you can for your release.

There is a release of TV2000 that came with a different chip, you need to install this one with the btwincap driver and a different installer, see Iron2000's steps earlier in this post.

Hope this helps.

Hi everybody!
I have same card(Winfast TV 2000 XP RM edition) and i followed your instructions but cannot get it to work. I came only so far, that i got Conexant BtPCI video capture driver installed in device manager however it says it isn't signed and that it might not work correctly.
When i start media center or PVR2 it says it cannot find TV tuner( or BDA device in PVR2).
What should i do? Could any of you be so kind to put in some step by step instructions on how to solve this issue?
Thank you so much!
Regards,
Max

Is the tv tuner detected with Dscaler?

I too have the driver installed with the yellow exclamation and warning message in Device Manager but it worked on Dscaler the last time I checked.
Not sure about Media Center and PVR2 though, got Media Center removed and not going to install PVR2.

Hi there!
Thanks for the superfast reply.
I've already tried dscaler before but i quickly removed it since when it runs it screws up all the colors of other open windows. I reinstalled it now and i see the error message: 'Cant load hardware driver, possibly caused by corrupt installation. Reboot and try again'. I rebooted, but same error shows up.
It might be i didnt install the correct driver..
Btw, when installing ther driver, (from 'btinstaller') what exactly do you choose from the second dropdown menu?
I chose Video capture card: Leadtek winfast 2000, Tvtuner used on your card: Philips pal secam. And i left empty the 3 checkboxes. Might this have anything to do with the driver problem?
Thank you in advance!
Max

Hmm..
For the dropdown, I think I left them as default.
Didn't change them and left them to autodetect.

Dammit, this doesn't seem to work for me. its like the card isn't in at all. I'm loosing hope.
Is there maybe a way you could send me your bt848.sys driver so i can try that? i reistalled the driver leaving box empty and still nothing. Btw, you are using Win7 64bit correct? And your color scheme changes whenever you run dscaler?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!

Winfast TV2000 XP Expert drivers on w7 64b

I try a standard driver instalation using a CD from .

I renamed some files (as shown in archive), I updated drivers from a separate folder, just like TimStitt posted on 11-25-2009 and it works.

Hi All, I just got a chance to catch up.

Iron2000, as usual you are right on it, thanks mate!

Cezericia, Glad you got it working. My solution is more of a work around, it worked for me but is sort of a cross your fingers moment. It's a little bit cheeky and comes with the potential to be an epic fail. BUT when it works we can all grin happily and pass the beers around.

TV 2000XP on Win7 Pro x86

Hi guys,
I have also winfast tv2000xp (the most basic versions -no FM, probably this WDM), and recently I installed win7pro, and now I can't get it to work.
I installed official drivers from leadtek, both EXPERT and GLOBAL, but it doesn't work, it just says in DEVICE MANAGER "Multimedia Controller".
Only when I let windows update to download drivers it shows in DEVICE MANAGER "Winfast 2000XP WDM Audio/Video Capture", but it still doesnt work in PVR2.
I tried also DScaler, but also with no success.
I'm attaching a few screenshots for you to see it more clearly.

Imageshack - winfast3.jpg

Can you please give me some advice on what to do?
Seems to me that for now the only good idea is to go back on using XP..
Thanks :D

Hmm, your Dscaler hardware info is the same as mine.
So yours is probably the TV2000XP RM too.
Expert and Global drivers don't work with the RM version.

As of now there are no official 64 bit drivers for the RM version but you can try the unofficial driver I posted in my previous posts.

But if you are running a 32 bit copy of Windows 7, you can try the official Vista 32 bit drivers.
