Hi Guys I have a problem and I was hoping you could help.

First off my set up is:

i7-4790k
16gb RAM
GTX 1050ti
win x64

For some reason some games (witcher 3, dragon age: inquisition) wont run in proper full screen mode. I have it set in the options but the games still launch and run in windowed full screen. The games don't crash or anything but the performance dips dramatically when compared to games that do run in full screen properly like "mgs5" which I can run locked at 60fps on ultra and I can run a 25 man raid in world of warcraft on full ultra graphics at 90 fps but "witcher 3" or "da:i" wont go above 40 fps... Also Flux is still active when I'm playing the games so that's another indication that the games aren't actually running full screen but rather windowed full screen.

Anyone know if there's something I can do here? :(

Welcome to the forums... Google is your friend for most questions

I don't play any of those games but I found this for the witcher 3 and I imagine it may be the same for the other game.

hope this helps.

EDIT: for some reason the forum is not allowing me to copy/paste the url so you are going to have to replace the hxxps for https

I often had a problem with the fact that it does not open the full screen game, but I found browser games and now I can choose any game and it will open in full screen. For me it became convenient to use

Welcome to SF. It might sound stupid but, you can try Alt+Enter when your game starts. This helped me in past when I faced the issue.
