Resident evil 5 save game

Hi all

I just reformatted my PC i was trying to restore my saved game for resident evil 5. I have backed up my saved game that is located in libraries/document/capcom. Im just using and windows live offline account.

Can I still restore it? or am I screwed?

anyone?

I'm pretty sure you can still save it. If you copy-paste the files to the current spot where you took them from?
Ok, that was not clear.
If you take the files you backuped, and put them in the folder that you took them from, on this new OS.
Ahh, that was also unclear.

yup I tried that one and when I started the game it said the file seems to be damaged and it cannot be loaded, but i'm sure that the file is not damaged. Also when I started the game it asked me for a new live account. Is the live account and save game linked? I think they are. sigh Im still a newbie in this windows live games.

Darn! If your account was a online one, i think you could save your progress. But now that its not... Oh Well, have you tried googleing your problem?

yes tried that one also. Most of the search goes to the torrent or hack saved games.

Resident Evil 5 requrements help.
I'm condsidering buying resident evil 5. The recommended specs are 2 GB RAM, and AMD Phenom x 4. The minimum specs are AMD Athlon x64 x2, and 1 GB RAM. Well, I have the AMD Athlon x64 x2, but I have four GB RAM installed (3.25 usable). Would this made any noticable difference? I'm not in the mood...

I play Resident Evil 5 PC ,and when fmv/video start i get a black screen and only sound. I set the game resolution at 1920x1080p-vsync on,refresh 60hz. Any ideas?

Anyone run the Resident Evil 5 benchmark?
Just curious. I downloaded it over the weekend and mucked around with it a bit. I got a solid 32-33 fps @2560 x 1600 with every setting in-game maxed out. I am pretty sure I should get more than that once the SLI profile for that game actually gets released. It was kind of the same with the Devil...
