    +1 The Reaper

It takes in average ~20 minutes online time for an unprotected computer to become infected.
So running without any decent protection is asking for trouble.

Since you haven't done much yet, the suggested course of action would be

#1 Restore the computer to factory defaults one more time (much simpler than trying to hunt down some nasties)
#2 Install a decent A/V program ASAP for example
avast! Free Antivirus - Download Software for Virus Protection or
    Download details: Microsoft Security Essentials
get this one as a "on demand scanner" just because it's very good and might save your bacon some time
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a free download that removes viruses and malware from your computer
As for your rights-problem with the libraries I think you have to take ownership. Have a look here
    Take Ownership Shortcut

post back if you need further assistance

That's only a rough estimate. It could as well be 1 minute or 1 hr depending on when one of those scanning trojans/backdoor scanners hits your IP.
That's how those bad boys get their Zombie/Bot-networks expanded

Thanks Reaper .. I'm awake and hopefully with it enough now .. so I'll download MalwareBytes and run it now.

DG, I am not unprotected. I am behind a router. Do I take it from what you've said that you also assume the Trend Micro Trial also does offer any protection?

Sorry for the dual replies. You didn't read my original post did you. I already tried to take ownership several times. Please read it before trying to help.

You don't say what application(s) you are using when the save access is denied. Have you tried running those
application(s) as admin? Have you tried saving files via other programs to the same location?
