Windows 7 64bit. Hangs when I restart, but shutdown/restart works fine
I just rebuilt my game pc and ever since I installed windows 7 64bit anytime I hit restart it says windows is shutting down, the screen goes black and stays black. I have to press the power button to force a shut down and then restart it. BUT, if I shut down windows with the shut down button the pc powers off normally and hitting the power button makes it boot just fine. So everything works perfect, except when I try to use the restart button on windows it hangs after it says shutting down windows.
I have every update available from windows update installed already, disc has service pack 1 on it already.
I am running windows 7 64 bit pro installed. (I did a clean install, no upgrades)
My hardware in it is...... (everything has the current drivers installed)
Gigabyte z170xp-sli motherboard that has the current bios installed.
Intel core i7 6700k 4.0ghz cpu.
Crucial mx300 SSD hard drive.
Evga gtx 1070 video card.
Sound blaster z sound card.
16gb corsair ddr4 ram.
Corsair 650 watt PSU.
27 inch samsung monitor connected via hdmi.
