Where to buy Windows 7 PC with Ryzen?

**** windows 10 it's awful. I cant stand using it my brain hurts. Where can I buy a prebuilt windows 7 desktop with ryzen 7?

Select components and they build it for you, plenty of companies do that

What's your complaint... the different START button functionality?

If you want to make your Win10 look and work like Win7, specifically in the START button with its popup menu design, install START10 from Stardock. It will cost you $5 but you will thank me.

With START10 installed you can have a START button which can produce either the Win10 or Win7 functionality, or both! It also can be set up, for example, so that say clicking on the START button produces the Win7-style popup you're used to and want, while using the Windows button on the keyboard will launch the new Win10-style "tile" popup.

Very customizable. Once you click on the START button to get the Win7 popup, you can then right-click on ALL PROGRAMS (just like in Win7) to get the OPEN/OPEN ALL USERS popup (just like in Win7), and then if you select either of these choices you get the [File] Explorer window with PROGRAMS on it and you can drag/drop items into Start Menu folders of your creation (just like in Win7), etc.

In other words, START10 brings back 100% of your Win7 START button and Start Menu functionality, AND THEN SOME. You will feel right at home... just like Win7 again, but you're running Win10.

Officially, Ryzen does not support Win 7 and 8.1. There is at least 1 hack that will allow using Win 7 and 8.1 with Ryzen processors but MS has been known to block such hacks in the past.

Its not just the UI that annoys me. It's the constant spying. My computers personal desktop and work laptop upgraded overnight without my knowledge or consent and that also pissed me off. I've noticed my network slowing down because my laptop decides to send microsoft vast amounts of data choking my bandwidth and depleting my data cap. I have a 3G card through my work and my boss is yelling at me for going over the data limit. I'm trying to tell him that it's not me you guys monitor my computer it's windows 10's fault.

I some doubts about the accuracy of that site's options. What first jumped out at me was they still listed Windows 7 Home, which MS does not allow to be sold anymore.

Maybe they still have stock, or maybe the option is wrong. If you are that bothered, you can ask them.

I haven't moved across to Windows 10 yet so have no hands on experience of any problems. W7 EOL is just a couple of years away so why invest in Windows 7 unless it's run as a Virtual Machine.

Stop a lot of MS's BS by turning OFF 'WUDO' and Cortana.
A PC can't get updates during the night, if you'll just SHUT IT OFF when you're done with it, like any other appliance.

Then install the FREE "Classic Shell" and with just a little setup, you can make Windows 10 look and pretty much act like Windows 7 Pro.

I've done that for my customers who would never accept Windows 10 otherwise.

I have an 8 Core AMD cpu in my own Home Built PC, and it runs every OS from XP to 10/Pro/64.
Win-7 is definitely a great OS. I just wonder if MS won't be forced to extend their EOS date far into the future.

As far as buying a copy of Win-7, do a web search for it. It's out there!

You aren't likely to find a Ryzen based computer which comes with Windows 7, because AMD isn't providing drivers for it:

The spying started with Win 7. I've evaded it by not downloading certain updates, but I've lost the list. Probably a list of updates for Win 10 too.

You can use Windows 7 with Ryzen, but expect no support from microsoft. Same goes for Intel's Skylake and Kaby Lake processors.

MS relented on the Win 7 support ban in Skylake and Win 7 will receive extended support until its EOL 01/14/2020.

Here's something you might try, if nothing else will work: Install virtual machine software on a Ryzen computer, and then install Windows 7 in a VM. Windows 7 will interface with the virtual machine software rather than with the computer, so you should be ok in terms of being able to update. (I don't know that for sure, but that would be my best guess.)

You could put anything you want as the host OS on your Ryzen computer -- Linux Mint comes to mind -- as long as that host OS will allow you to install virtual machine software.

As long as you have lots of memory in the computer (16GB or more), and then allocate sufficient memory to the Windows 7 VM, you aren't likely to have any performance hits from running Windows in a VM rather than as the host OS.

Win7 works fine with Ryzen. No need to fool around with virtual machines.
