I have just built my dream custom PC

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Ga-x58a-ud3r MB and 6GB corsair ram
Gtx 460 SLI
SSD (ocz sata 2) (boot) none raid
SSD (crucial sata 3)
Samsung F3 1TB (storage)
850w Corsair PSU.

I have done a clean install of windows with all drivers and seem to get the BSOD at random intervals, I have ran memtest from dos - 3 passes and there was no errors.

Please Please can you help, I am really stressed atm with it

Remove Symantec and replace with Microsoft security essentials.

Remove virtual HD software (daemon tools/Alcohol)

Retest ram for at least 5 passes

let us know if you need help

UPDATE:

Well after 7 passes of memtest86 and no errors I am stumped. I have done a new install and increased the voltage to QPI to 1.35v as it is believed to also cause a problem.

I have done a total re-install agin and removed other drives other than sata 2 ssd and removed 1x of the GTX 460's.

I have also installed the rapid storadge technology driver for my intel controller to the SSD post windows boot.

Still I am getting BSOD - Please can someone view the zip files I uploaded in my frst post and see if I am missing something or could it be the motherboard / CPU.

Should I reinstall win 7 again but on my HDD ?

thanks

Mike

A bad CPU can certainly cause BSODs. Are you doing any overclocking?

no overclocking - everything pretty much set to fail safe other than increasing voltage on dram and vqpi as its a known problem to cause BSOD on the GA-X58-UDR3 motherboard.

I am gonna get some sleep and try some more testing tomorrow.

Will update post with progress

thx

Mike

OK Guys finished another load of testing and I thought I had got rid of this fault - it has been running for nearly 36 hours no problems at all. Been running apps and playing games testing the hardware and everything fine however today it just BSOD whilst it wasn't even under load !!! same error again !!

I have attached my recent mini-dump file - please I have done everything now that has been suggested and I just cant locate the problem !!

thx

PS I have added the 2nd crash to this post !!

"page fault in non-paged area" errors need patience to solve. Try the following steps: –
Reseat all your RAM sticks as well as your video cards.
Run memtest to thoroughly check your RAM sticks. (RAM problems are high on the list of hardware issues that cause your error).
Try different combinations of two or four sticks if errors occur during testing. Make sure your DRAM voltage is set to manufacturer specs.

If the RAM checks out, uninstall the last software/driver installed prior to the first occurrence of the error.

Do all testing after disconnecting all external peripherals (external hard drives and printers etc.)

"0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card)"

Best of luck and be patient.

thanks - I have done memtest on this ram for 7 passes without a single error, could it get errors in different slots?.

The last thing I did was to connect my sata 3 C300 to the sata 3 marvel onboard controller - should I disconnect these and just leave my boot disk in ?

I dont have loads of time as I work 8-10 hours a day and I am mindfull of my 28 day return to vendor warranty!!

Is that info from checking the minidump file ? as the 2nd pagefault in non paged area also had win32k.sys on it

Again all advice is really welcome

thx

PS I am running 2x SSD in this computer (NOT Raid) - can these cause it?

I would run memtest overnight just to be sure. Also, try LinX for about 30 runs (it's a free download). I would definitely try disconnecting the C 300 if memory can be eliminated as an issue.
Your SSD drives should not be causing this issue. But make sure that their cables are properly connected.

Many of the experts here are great at reading dump files and hopefully they will chime in. You clearly have a very nice hardware set up and hopefully it should be up and running well soon.

Thx for your help :)

I have a feeling it is either the CPU or memory but cant get it to fault atm :(

I have fully stress tested the GPU's and I cant get a BSOD.

I will look into LinX and will update.

No bugs in Chrome known to cause BSODs, at least as far as I have seen.

The dumps are not actually blaming Chrome for the crash, merely reporting that it was "in front" at the time.

The most likely cause is that something else, like NIC drivers, is causing the problem, crashing when Chrome tries to use them.

Follow Jonathan's advice to install those Realtek NIC drivers: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-...t-nonpaged-area-pls-pls-help.html#post1019919

Ok - had computer in bits and tested from where I bought (SCAN) after cold bott and FULL testing 0 errors so it must be a software problem.

When I get it back gonna doa clean install and update thos NIC drivers. Would a NIC driver really cause page fault errors ?

thx will keep you updated

PS are those drivers for the network adapter?

I have found that just about any cause can bring just about any error. So yes, NIC drivers can cause page fault errors.

Yes, the Realtek drivers are for the network adapter.
