Hello,

I replaced my old HDD for an SSD. After turning on AHCI-mode in the BIOS and formatting the new SSD, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1. Now that Windows installation is complete, I installed all the drivers for my hardware. Since then, after starting Windows a BSOD appears with the error "Page fault in nonpaged area". It happens between 30 seconds to a few minutes after Windows has loaded.

I ran Memtest86+ for a few hours (6 passes), but it found no errors. Because of this I assume that the BSOD has nothing to do with the RAM.

There seems to be no problems in Windows safe mode, so I launched BlueScreenView in safe mode to get more information about the BSOD's. The dump files contain the following:

Bug Check String: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Bug Check Code: 0x00000050
Parameter 1: fffff8a0`0cde2000
Parameter 2: 00000000`00000000
Parameter 3: fffff800`02d66f8f
Parameter 4: 00000000`00000000
Caused By Driver: ntoskrnl.exe
Caused By Address: ntoskrnl.exe+72a40

My system specs:

Motherboard: Asrock H55M-GE
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250Gb
Graphic Card: Sapphire Radeon HD7770 (--> in Windows Device Manager, this is listed as "AMD Radeon R7 200 Series")

I attached the ZIP-file created by DM Log Collector. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, johnq55. It seems that much of your problems are due to an illegal Operating System. The Operating System you have installed was Blacklisted before Windows 7 was released. It can only be activated by a hackers exploit which alters protected system files.

Counterfeit installations such as yours contain heavily modified code that causes the installation to behave it unexpected ways. Analyzing BSOD's and determining their causes on these sorts of installations is very unreliable. For this reason, many analysts won't attempt it.

My recommendation is to install a genuine Windows 7. This will minimize the problems you are experiencing, and make subsequent diagnosis of BSOD's far more reliable. Once you are running a Genuine Windows 7 installation, and are still experiencing BSOD's, we will be happy to help you solve them

Thank you for your analysis and clear explanation. I will try to install a genuine version of Windows 7 and see it there are still any problems. This topic can be closed.
