Does anyone have this or has seen it? Amazon.com: Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS CHALLENGER Pro Gaming Keyboard Fan Cooler 64KB On-board Memory 10 Programmable Keys KB-CHP001US: Electronics

I want to know how well it lights up all the keys.

I have a Saitek which blue LED backlight but its SO DIM! I mean even in the dark you can BARELY make out the keys especially the ones that are well used and get a little stained.

To me it looks like the above keyboard has the same crappy quality as the Saitek lights but in red instead of blue.

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I do! Mine is dimmer than yours but looks same model so maybe i have a defect. I'll try to remember to take a pic later and show it.

And no offense shady, but find it hard to believe you registered just to tell me the backlighting on that keyboard is excellent. I'm more inclined to think you're affiliated with that company and found this thread googling for your product.

I'm in England atm so I can't take pictures of my stuff, but if you're looking for the best, I'd turn towards Razer. I run the Lycosa Mirror Edition and it has adjustable lighting options. But Razer produces the best. They have fully mechanical boards (faster response), backlight boards, extra keys boards, etc.

Sounds good, but I'm curious when you say 'adjustable lighting' do you mean it can get REALLY bright? I'm looking for lights that really pop, the one i have now is so dim you can barely make them out in the dark. I want a keyboard thats so bright you can see them lit up bright in a low-light room and not just darkness.

Look at the Macbook & Macbook pro for example. I want at LEAST this level of lighting if not brighter.

But I still prefer Logitech MX5000 over anything else I've used. As a matter of fact I have a spare since thier getting old and harder to find a long with my MX1000 mouse x2 1 in the charger 1 in use.. But have been looking for a good backlight keyboard only thing is I need a wireless one.

I've looked around google some, that's how I found the keyboard I linked in the OP.

I posted here to see what you all are using and hear personal experience. ANY decent photographer can make a shitty keyboard look good and that is a fact. I wouldn't be surprised if some were digitally enhanced even though it is illegal or borderline illegal.

I would love to see more of the circular keyboards in that link, but they don't have backlighting that goes thru the letter portion, and the "custom" layout looks terrible. It won't be long before we have fully customizeable keyboards, I actually read about a gamepad with several rearrangeable keys a couple years ago.
imgres

Our fingers spread out in circles, not rectangles. The current standard keyboards are a remnant from the days when typewriters would overheat/jam if designed with easily accessed keys. DVORAK is a decent alternative I hear, but why use someone else's design? The tech to customize your own for cheap is coming soon I just know it.

What the fudge are you guys doing to your eclipses? Mine is (i'm positive) from 2005 and not a single key shows signs of wear. The light got really really dim, though.

Only still USB Oh well

Thanks! That is the brightest looking one I have seen yet, will definitely check it out later to see if it is really as bright as pictured and if it has usb ports like the thermaltake.

The dim one I have is an eclipse but worn keys aren't brighter like that other guys they get even dimmer and stained.

It's not a "gaming keyboard" per say, but I just replaced my eclipse (because the light is so dim now I can't see the keys even in daylight) with a "cheap" intermediary keyboard, the iHome multimedia keyboard. $15 bucks, and I have to say, it's comfortable, quiet, light to respond, and works fine when playing games. My only problem with it so far is the volume up key got wedged in the down position, and my music got horrendously loud until i jabbed it a few times lol.

few weeks ago i upgraded my el-cheapo Genius Slim to Logitech Illuminated. was deciding between G110 and this one. didn't like G110 keys...

i like it very much. keys have three brightness modes and are just like on laptop: slim, soft and silent. and i can control foobar2000 playback from it xD
gaming and working is a pleasure.

only thing is:
1) Insert missing from above cursor keys (it's now in place of PrintScreen)
2) and left Shift is 2x shorter (so i miss it quite a few times end press \)

so i'm still adjusting to it
