Ahhh... s**t. I was quite proud to say that I have had a 'bug-free' time since using all builds of Windows 7 so far. Until now.

I have just had to reset my PC as when I booted up before all I got was a black screen with the build info showing in the bottom right corner of the screen and the mouse cursor. That's it! Everything had stopped loading up and there was nothing to click on. Not even the bar on the bottom! Nothing!

A strange one. Resetted and now back to normal again.

Anyone else seen this?

That's potentially a heat issue. Checked your temps, lately?

Nothing like that has happened to me with any build, thankfully. I tend to agree with Captain Zero, sounds like a hardware issue.

Bug ?

your pc might be something wrong with configuration.

if you have old build and didn't do preform clean install OS 7127.

I am running with 7127 zero problem at all.

Im running 7127 and Im quite happy its my Main OS I dont have anything else (well Leopard on my other HDD).
The only bug I found in 7127 is that defrag is not working (at least on drive C)

dgwin7: I always do a clean install mate. Never upgrade. PC is setup perfectly fine. I build my own, like I have done for years. Plus I used to have my own PC Building business. So I know a thing or two. This is definitely a little bug somewhere. It's only happened the once.

7Heaven: My PC is hooked up to our HDTV too. However that was not switched on or being used at the time. Plus the manner of the bug does not really show this problem to be that. To have a totally black screen, I would say that the picture has appeared on the HDTV instead, however the HDTV was not on and the Windows 7 Build info was showing on my monitor!? Been running a dual setup for some time now and never seen this issue before. As I have only recently installed build 7127 (x64) I am assuming the OS has a little bug. To be expected I suppose, after all, it's still a beta product.

I'm not really overly concerned about what happened, it's never happened again since so I'm not too worried. I do have (dare I say it) Vista installed on another HD Caddie as a backup, so if Windows 7 ever plays up big time I can fall back on that. I do love my Windows 7 though. :geek:

Ive seen that problem here , it was dual monitor support. Make sure the second monitor is not plugged in when booting and configure the second monitor after you boot.
