So, as you guys know, I have a Blu-Ray player in my comp. I wanted to wait to get a 5.1 before playing a movie. Finally, I did before getting that.
So, I rented Narnia Chronicles : Caspian Prince in blu-ray format with in head that I had a HD decoding GPU, a strong dual core CPU and a 24" screen. Also, I discovered an OEM CyberLink BD Solution CD on my sofa (sitting there since I have my BD Drive). So, I installed it and installed the patch they proposed me. The movie starts, select my language, then ERROR!
"Your hardware doesn't support HDCP!"
WTF is that. After a little search, it means "High-Definition Content Protection". According to CyberLink, you need a HDMI cable with a graphic card and a monitor that are compatible. WTF!!! I just want to watch a movie! Not buy new hardware!
For a second, I thought I had to go and play it on my dad 42" and PS3. But I searched a little more to see that, I would need help of the God of CD/DVD/HDDVD/BD : AnyDVD HD.
Of course, upon installing and you the rest, I've been able to play the movie (and it was pretty good
).
Look in what we are going in this world with all those protection. We need super expensive hardware, on top of all, to pay for a software to play BDs AND buy another software that removes the HDCP protection.
I want to say : All Hail To Pirates that removes those protection! Seriously.

P.S : If this belong to the Off-Topic, then, move it there, I didin't know where to start this.
