Very good. Good work. You are narrowing things down and eliminating potential problems. When you get another BSOD, yes, do an updateded run with the collection tool.

Also, do you think the below knowledge base may be has something to do with my problem?

If I understand the article, it applies to Windows NT, not Windows 7. I think your next course of action is to try a known good and more powerful power supply. I really don't think your PSU is adequate for what your are tasking it with.

If you have a long power supply, you might get away with 250, even 300 watts available to you, but if your case is what I suspect, you have a limit of 200W as the highest rated PSU available. I would not be able to tell you for sure unless I were to see the inside of the computer.

And, just for info, PSU is just another name for SMPS, no? Pls Correct me if i'm wrong.

Update: Today i went to the card's vendor. He opened the case, cleaned the dust and re-inserted the card. The problem wasn't appearing there. I was so happy.
I came home. But it seems that misfortune and me, have a strong bone between. When i connected all the items, started the pc, windows booted with no problem at all. But no display, and this time, even the monitor light didn't turn to blue, remained orange (inactive). Tried so many times, to no avail.
Switched to the onboard one. It booted. Checked device manager. Ati card showing error code 43.
Re-connected the vga cable to the add-in card. But no, why would fortune ever favor me..?!
The same problem is still there.
And regarding the psu folks, it's too of HCL brand of 200W i think.

Ok, in a last attempt to revive this old thread and possibly to find the cause, here's a post. I noticed that when i took my cpu to the repair shop, when they switched it on, GPU-Z showed in Bus Interface as PCI-E x16@x16 but when i came back and switched it on, it then showed it as PCI-E x16@x1 (screenshot attached).
Is it an indication of insufficient power supply..?

UPDATE: Problem solved. Cleaning and re-inserting the card did it. I can now see the improved performance.

One of my old XFX 4890's started showing as x8 on a x16 slot prior to it's death.
