Very very very very long boot time

Hello Everyone ... well i went from windows 7 64 bit to windows 7 32 bit since then my boot time is extreamly long .. sometimes it just stops and i have to restart it . if done a fresh install again but i have the same problem ? Can anyone help me thanks

Press Windows key+R, type 'msconfig' (without the quotes), post the content (screensot) of the 'Startup' tab.

I would (for test purposes) uncheck Java, Daemon Tools and Winamp
then unplug all unused USB devices and see if it goes faster

Indeed it does. It is the sptd.sys driver that creates havoc.

Yep.
I'd recommend uninstalling daemon tools and installing VirtualClone Drive. Easy to use with no messing around much.

il unistall deamon tools !... but still doesnt solve my startup problem maybe i should just go back to 64 bit ? but i have 2 gigs ram

Download Autoruns- Autoruns for Windows
Run it as admin. The Everything tab should open by default. Save the list and upload it here. There should be some option for it, likely in File menu.

First try,,

Disable AVG and try a reboot
Then disable Daemon Tools and try a reboot.

Also, make sure that all drivers and Chipset drivers were installed properly.

May need to start from scratch, and reboot after each install of drivers and software to see what could be causing it.

Could just be a bad install of everything, or mucked up/improper drivers.

Disabling Daemon Tools does not work. sptd.sys still loads.

Il upload the pic now.. but i dont think any of these programs have an affect because since i formatted it has been slow..... maybe its a corrupt disk ? after the clean install i restarted my pc and it took like 5 mins

Or maybe you need to do a complete wipe (secure erase) of the entire Hard Disk Drive to get the best possible space to do another clean install of Windows 7; a format does nothing in the way of removing old data; have a look at this tutorial at the link below and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Never had a problem myself with it.

If it's a fresh install, did you make sure to install chipset drivers, up-to-date graphic drivers etc?

Do you have a raid card? I have seen my self that if window 7 is installed on a non intigrated raid card the computer can take some time to boot. aka over 2 min.

What??? What has a so-called non-integrated raid card go to do with this?

I he has a PCI Raid card he is creating a bottleneck in the system, which in turn would cause a long boot time.
