Are you running it in dual channel? My 4GB was 5.9 until I set up dual channel.
TBH, I don't really know how. The mobo should do it automatically, but I will check (with the new one too)

~Lordbob

Check your mobo manual it will tell you what slots the two cards should be in for dual channel, if they're in the wrong slots it will be single channel.

Yeah, they are in the right slots and it looks like they should default to dual channel....
Oh well, I did buy budget RAM (and all parts really...)

New parts will fix that problem :P

Lordbob something doesn't sound right.

Use CPU-Z to see what you memory is running at. See this post - http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/138554-new-rig-radeon-6950-trouble-2.html#post1191297. Click the "Memory" tab and look at the "Channel" block. Should say Dual (Triple for 1366 socket MB, though the modules themselves is running in dual channel mode)

As well as this - http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/138554-new-rig-radeon-6950-trouble-2.html#post1191432

At any rate your RAM should be running in dual channel mode - unless you specifically bought single channel.... which I didn't/don't think is possible for today's systems.

Your memory is running at 1066MHz, 7-7-7-24 CR 2T. Nice memory. Could probably change Command Rate (CR) to 1T for better performance, though it's nothing you'd notice in everyday apps.

What's you SPD tab show? That'll also show what voltage you should be running with 1066MHz

Just ordered a MSI R5770 Hawk GPU and another stick of Corsair 4gb ram. The current BFG GTX260 works great once I can get it past the start up blue screen but must be replaced. I'll post pictures of the new card with my new mobo as soon as installed. This combo will allow me a great deal of flexibility and a stable OC.

kyle,
It's these little attention to details that make all the difference. Great job and in know way do I imply that that job was little. Oh and nice job shortening the Corsair H50's cable....yes I noticed! You've got one of the cleaner systems currently showing here. Look at mine and the difference is very noticeable....it's all good !
