If you installed the public beta off of the MS website, then yes, I believe it will come via Windows Update

It will most likely be the last one before the final version (RTW) is released

The RC will be like the RC in the sense that a few more test builds are likely before the general release of the final version. Note that those will be strictly for internal testers going over all the last minute items before the final is decided on in order to clean up any last minute bugs remaining.

IE9 was delayed because of a conflict of interests, apparentely there is a bloke on a Windows Seven Forum who has taken the name that IE was going to use, so now they may have to change the name unless the bloke decides to change his name, from ie9 to something else....

The IE9 beta has been fantastic, and I'm looking forward to the RC and then the RTW version.

I'm just hoping that the "Downloads List" is changed to include a "Retry" button for downloads that have timed-out...

I'm sure you'll find a few more items will be available iin the RC form over the beta. I'm hoping to see the menu bar option available in the properties rather then the need for a workaround.

Windows7 HP x64

I have IE9 Beta x64 on my task bar and would love to use it more but FF has tons of addons that make it hard to switch to IE9.

I would love to see a list made by someone that lists the leading Firefox Addsons and the comparable addons for IE9.

If I was pretty confident that I could replace the functionality of the FF addons either with IE9 built in features or IE9 addons I would switch to IE9.

I don't think that I am alone in having this opinion.

Say, may I ask you the winning lotto numbers for Feb 9, 2011? Since you have already been on Feb 10 checking your Windows Update for IE9 RC, I still have 8 days to place my bet.

You won't see other the prerequisite for SP1 listed in the updates for anything other then a final version. Since IE 8 came with 7 and IE 9 is still beta soon to go to RC you have to go to MS directly where you then see the download now option. Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Microsoft Windows

Now coming soon that will show RC(Release Candidate) not beta on the page there. You'll notice right under the download button it automatically detects which version of Windows and which flavor(32, 64bit) you are running. That insures you are downloading a 64bit version onto a 32bit Windows.

The next thing I will be looking is how it compares to IE 8 since the newer browser will start to implement hardware as well as how far it has come from the beta. With the ISP here I can view movies online where this should be something noticable.

RTM, not RC, unless MS has changed. You will have to download from MS, remove beta and install RC.

Since I have been beta testing this has been the case. Last beta I had of IE9, I had to remove to install updated.
If things have changed with MS, that's news to me.
