Wow, I may be in Defrag nirvana but the new Puran defragger is somehow filling all of the empty spaces in all 3 of my HD partitions. I've never seen this before.
Can some others try this too to see if this is really happening as it appears. It may be some kind of breakthrough.
was intrigued by this, so decided to try it out.
initially i downloaded the trial version from the first link on the download page, but it kept giving me error messages during installation - however the second (cnet) download link worked fine.
anyway, yes greg, is it filling in the gaps here - it's there in the 'additional operations' tab - and it's good to see - other defraggers would often infuriate me by leaving loads of holes around the place.
i've only experimented with one of my data partitions, i don't want to let it anywhere near my ssd os drive...
i used to be mad keen on defragging, and would spend inordinate amounts of time doing it, watching the little boxes change colour - such fun!
now i feel more like pparks - i've never noticed slow performance with a fragged disc, nor better performance when defragged. however, i do appreciate the theory, and do like to defrag my data drives every now and again, especially if i've been doing a lot of deleting or adding big files.
