How can I just have "press ctrl + alt + delete to..." instead of this "Windows Security Button" part added on?

I would politely suggest reading this, and perhaps a mild use of the search function in the future. :)

I've read that probably a dozen different times.

Right now it says ctrl alt del or Security button. I don't want it to say Security button.

You have a tablet then?
NOTE: If you have a tablet connected your computer with it's drivers installed, then you may see Press CTRL + Alt + Delete or use the Windows Security Button to log on instead.

My apologies. I apparently misread your request. Well, perhaps try the following:

  1. Tap the "Start" button from your Desktop to open the tablet PC setting, and then tap the "Control Panel" option.
  2. 2
Tap the "Mobile PC" option, and then tap the "Tablet PC Settings" option. The Tablet PC Settings window will then appear on your screen.
  3. 3
Tap the "Buttons" tab and then tap the screen orientation for your button from the "Button Settings For" list.
  4. 4
Tap the "Windows Security" option from the "Tablet button" list, and then tap the "Change" option.
  5. 5
Select the "Log On" option from the "Press" list in order to define the action you want the button to perform.
  6. 6
Tap the "OK" option twice and then close out of the open windows. Press the "Windows Security" button on your tablet PC to open the Windows log-in screen.
The above was swindled from ehow.com.

I lost you. I don't have a control panel inside Tablet PC settings.

Sorry. I copy and pasted from their website. It should say tablet pc settings inside control panel. That's a typo they made and I didn't catch to correct.

So that is going to remove the text "Windows security button". I don't want to see that. I don't even know what one is

It should. You just need to uncheck the "Windows Security Button" when you get to the last few steps, rather than checking it.

Okay. If you open up Control Panel, do you see Tablet PC Settings?

Also, do you have like a wacom tablet, or a similar device that you use?

Is there maybe a place to download tablet pc software or drivers. I think something is missing from mine. Then the option tab will appear.
