Hi XxKOLOHExX,

Not sure why you would pay for drivers.

If you post the components you are thinking of upgrading to , someone may be able to advise.

When Windows 7 eventually hits the streets, hopefully drivers will nit be an issue. Do you really mean drivers? As the previous poster says, you do not need money to upgrade those. If you are speaking specifically about your own computer, the hardware would be a bigger issue. The graphics card in that machine is barely enough to run Vista. Graphics Drivers for Windows 7, which work 100%, are, for your computer, at the moment thin on the ground and likely to remain so. Can you upgrade the memory? The standard DV 6000 only supports up to 2Gbs. This is adequate, but on the lower end. Apart from these two considerations, your computer will probably have a few other hardware inadequacies, which cannot be upgraded.

Hi XxKOLOHExX,
It has been my experience that HP has exstensive Hardware support with a very liberal Technical Support policy. Also it would stand to reason that things - at least for HP that work in Vista would worl in Windows 7 - More RAM, More RAM - but with the price of Hardware You can get a Smokin new Machine. God's Speed. Check Out Best-Buy Online Great Prices. I am not a vendor. Patrick C

mine is running very smooth in both

a P4 with IGP x3000
and a Turion ultra with HD3200 IGP

your processor should be more than enough to handle 7....

and you have more than enough ram for 7 (although i would advise to replace the 1gb stick with 2gb so that you can take advantage of Dual Channel

your IGP is on par with x3000 that i have firefox and few others apps open (WMP Acrobat and with aero at the same time....)

aero peek is a beauty compared with other IGP's....lol

The comments are good, sound information, and I would suggest you google about that graphcs card before you invest more in the computer. There are many adverse comments.

Also, going back to the original post - you said *drivers* when you meant hardware - thus the confusion.

Drivers refers to *software* that help *drive* the hardware.

That being said - you're better off building a new machine rather than upgrading at this point - a decent machine with my specs can be had for well under $1000 US.
