Hi guys,
I am experiencing a major FPS drop problem in two games, so far.
First I noticed it with the Men of War : Assault Squad, when in the first mission the game is going ,well , let's say on mid-high pretty good ,meaning 20-50FPS. Then at the 3 position (with AA/AT gun) it just drops to 10fps. Even when I save the game and load it again to the same position 10fps and less.
Secondly I wanted to play coop an older game with my friend, the Ghost Recon : Adv. Warfighter 2. The game is running smoothly with max-high details (with some filtering) at around 50-70FPS(it depends). But after a while it also drops to 3-10fps sometimes I just need to wait and the fps goes back again to normal ,sometimes not. It stays on that low fps.
I made even a fresh install of Win7 Ent. x64 SP1 onto a free partition. To be sure!
1. Hardware related ?
- CPU temps are in normal 30 idle to 50 load (CoreTemp,SpeedFan etc.)
- GPU temps are in normal 30 to 60C
- GPU memory tested with VideoStressTest (I think) - no errors found
- temperature of the 3xHDD in normal 20 to 30C
- Memtested the RAM - seems to be OK - I changed even the freq. to 800Mhz (BIOS)
- integrated sound-card on mobo has the latest drivers from realtek
2. Software related ?
- firstly I had 260.99 after I noticed the issue I upgraded to 266.58 then tried 257.21(even worse with the old driver, overall performance)
- I am sure my PC is clean. I ran all kinds of AV AS. TSSD , Malwarebytes. Ran WinASO Reg. opt. , Uniblue pack. etc. , Eset , NIS .......
- The same issue is occuring with the fresh Win7 x64 SP1 without any AV FW. Only NVidia drivers + needed drivers and some other soft.
CoD : Black Ops - everything at max(high-ultra) and no FPS drop.
I will be trying another gamez to find out whether is it global or local problem.
I uploaded some screenshots taken with Fraps.
I also went through some threads, pls don't say "use the search button".
When testing GRAW2 I ran it in windowed mode and opened the taskmgr and when the fps drop occured there was a process called SYSTEM eating some 20-30% of CPU. When the fps went high again the SYSTEM process wasn't eating anything. I think this has to do something with fps drop.
I ran out of ideas. Could somebody suggest some advice ? To check anything.
EDIT : vsync - always off
