Hello Juman,
What registry key (full path) are you trying to take ownership of? There are some that you should not mess with.
If you are logged in an administrator account, then you might see if doing step 3 in Option Two of METHOD TWO in the tutorial below to take ownership and "Allow" your user account "Full Control" of the key may be able to.
Take Ownership of file - Vista Forums
Hope this helps,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
some thing like that but i don't think it is the key for commandbarWhat is the Registry Path that the App wants to edit?
Eg:
Code:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Juman,
We need you to post the exact path of the registry key(s) (like the one above) for the key(s) you are wanting to access before we will be able to recommend anything.
Dude remove the DefaultIcon and see it is a system key(Meaning it exists by Default)I do not have that Directory in my Registry so it was created by a 3rd Party app
If all else fails This account should allow you access
WarningSince we do not know what Application that requires this Key. Seven Forums or Microsoft is not reseponsible for any Damadge done to your computer. Please Proceed at your own Risk
