AT&T, outskirts of LA. Sux. But I upgraded it [slightly] for today so we shall see what it goes up to (God forbid it reach 5mb/s)

Thats 40$ internet only, and thats the discount price (being included in a bundle with telephone service). I think everyone should screw the monopoly of AT&T and move on to better, I would if I could. Yep, its time to move lol

Hello, are you from India? I sometimes get high-speed torrent connections, say 2.x MB/s, with seeders from India, is there a big difference on speed between cities?

P.S. I think it's marvellous you got 110Kbps for dial-up

I remember that I ever used dial-up years ago (1998-2000) and jumped into broadband from 1.5Mbps, 8Mbps (shared), 25Mbps to 100Mbps (present).

However, I think it's enough for me (you know, there are 1Gbps FTTH residential service plans here and it's theoretical, surely) and I don't plan to get a higher speed. There's no need or it cannot make use of full bandwidth 99% of time! It's only a number game...
