seems that the upgrade is just as good as getting a full version.

Currently running Windows Vista
  • Customers with Windows Vista can purchase Windows 7 Upgrade versions. You can do a clean install (back up your files, clean install, and then reinstall your applications) or an in-place upgrade (Windows 7 installs over Windows Vista).

UK will not get upgrade versions see here.

Oops only the E version will not have upgrades, pricing for the regular versions update and full are at the bottom.

Was just chancing my luck to be honest... yea we may have to wait till December at the latest in the UK

Blah I would get Win 7 Pro But I HAVE to have the Japanese MUI so my only choice is Ultimate @ 3 copies :/ Hopefully the 3 Pack is going to be reasonably priced. Although putting 7 on both of my Dad and Mom's Computers for $100 is a Sweet bargain.

i think this Upgrade pack is Full Retail lincense, not OEM... just like Snuffy says...

So there's no problem with instalations numbers...

That would be great. Can anyone else confirm the upgrades are Retail.

Also, I like clean installs. So is it possible to use the upgrade disk to do a clean install then perform an upgrade over top afterwords ? I read before how to do this on Vista, but I was wondering how or if it can be done on Win 7.

What I haven't seen is a clear statement of which version it is that we are ordering - are we getting 32-bit? 64-bit? Both? If I want 64-bit (and I do), how do I specify this in the order?
