Arranging icons on the desktop.

Hi there!

I was just wondering, if there is any way to change the automatic placement of icons on the desktop?
I mean, normally, when you drag stuff to the desktop or download something, it is placed in the upper left corner and down.
So I was thinking if there was any way I could possibly change that?
Like if I wanted it to be placed on the desktop in a specific pattern.

Thanks in advance! : )

To have the icon stay where it is dragged on the DT, right-click on the DT and go into the 'View" sub-menu then un-select 'auto-arrange' and 'align icons to grid'. They should stay where you left them then

Thanks for your reply!
Yea I already have that on : )
But I was just wondering if there was a way to make a pattern for the icon placement instead of in the left side, which is standard.
I know its a bit of a weird question, and kinda hard to explain, but if we say I wanted to make it so whenever i dragged something to the desktop it would be placed in the lower right corner and go up instead of landing in the upper left?

Thanks

Hmm, that would probably require a registry hack. I have seen people recommend [URL="http://home.cogeco.ca/~rklauncher/"RK Launcher/[/URL] but I haven't used it myself. Let me know if that does the trick.

Well I can tell you its a Docket which allows u to have shortcuts placed on your desktop in a sort of panel, very useful tool, but unfortunately doesn't help my subject : P
I'm using RocketDock for that btw.

Thank you though : )!
