Experts how to edit .icon file?

Hello,

I would like to know how can i edit an .icon file i am having.
I was not able to open it under adobe photoshop.

Also, i would like if an expert can help me here - I like to give the .icon file and you can change color of it and upload and secondly, i will provide a jpeg file if you can convert it directly into .icon format.

I hope to receive some help here.

Ok here is my best effort ,anyone else feel free to use them and improve them .


here are the ico files, i have zipped them as we cant upload ico files here on 7 forums,

I was messing around with them if you don't like them don't worry I am not expert.
Here is what they look like

The .ico are in a zip folder at the bottom they are 256x256

What wonderful people here!

I thank Boohbah & Bongo for taking time to create icon for me.

Btw, boobah if you compare the icon you submitted has not so detailed shadows.. so maybe you can try to perfect tht part rest all was fine.

PooMan UK – What was tht, you already have this on all colors one can want and I was not able to find this icons anywhere on net. Anyways post the icons for size 256x256 (Blue/Red), leme see how much detail you cramped into it!

Anyways, I have few more pics to convert to .Icon format – Now obviously it wont look good if I keep on asking you guys to do it for me… so instead I guess if its not tht hard I will try to help myself… So please inform what software I can use.

i copied the images from your link ,i resized the image in paint ,opened the images in photoshop removed the white background and saved them as png then uploaded them to convert.ico and then posted them here. i didnt really alter the images that you gave me. Pooman uk has offered to make you icons of a size that you would like and he has changed the colors for you to give you an idea what you can have , i would take him up on his offer.

Thanks Julian pal that's exactly what I was trying to explain but if the op wants to convert the png files to icons by himself then he could always save my png files and then use Convert to icon to convert them to any size that fits his requirements but I've zipped them to icons at 256x256 below in the mean time

Yes PooMan, i can always convert to icons frm the website you mentioned... But the problem i am facing is - If i try to convert images i am having, it gets converted along with white box around it!

I cant properly remove white box around images via "Quick selection tool" in photoshop, and even if i manage a clean work i cant copy proper shadows in the image and hence my icons are not polished looking.

You have to save your "cut out" images as png files pal otherwise you will loose the transparency, then convert these files to icons like the ones I've posted
