Apophysis7x is a free fractal flames app. It comes with loads of Variations both built in and Plugins. It doesn't require super horsepower to run. It runs fine on the machine in my specs.

Looking at their site, it appears that they no longer offer a free version of Macrium Reflect. It has been removed.

I D/L'ed it yesterday, after googling it, same link as kado posted.
They have changed the free site location.

If you go to their site and select downloads->Free Version you get the same link.

Minor point but it definitely wasn't there at the time the free program listing was removed. Surprisingly third parties (eg.Major Geeks) had access to the software.
Some delay in Macrium updating their website I guess.

No. It was on their site two days ago and then became broken for a few hours yesterday.

Well it must have coincidentally been the "few hours" I was looking. Maybe share your insight earlier next time and the free program listing could have been marked temporarily unavailable.

I did post on this thread yesterday that I thought the link was broken and not removed and I also posted that it was back.

Too Long Path checker

TLPD | Free System Administration software downloads at SourceForge.net

Checks all or selected drives for paths longer than x.

For example if you are getting "path too long" errors when you try to copy files over a network or burn a CD or whatnot. It has a valid ranger of 3 to 255 characters. But if you program AutoIt3 source code is available for download.

Very nice little utility. It pops up a text file with a list of all the paths that were over the length you specified.

You can use it in scripts with command line params. Or just run it and it will ask you to check all paths or select the root of the tree from a BrowseForFolder dialog. Then it will ask you to enter a number for the max path length. Defaults to 200.

edit: since the latest version of AutoIt3 is more Unicode friendly than the one used to compile TLPD I posted the source with a few tweaks to allow searching for paths longer than 260 characters. The source mod can be found on the page in this link:

Yeah ks I hear they do a suite of office stuf like Word and Excel - anyone tried hem as I have put on Open Office to friends as I clean the machines for them as most of them can't afford a Microsoft deal - but I do find OO a bit on the slow side.:huh:

I did a brief trial of them. They look very much like office 2003 and can open Office 2007/10 files but can only save in 2003 format. Open Office or Libre Office is more complete. I have a copy of MS Office so I didn't keep them.

Actually kado I downloaded the Libro one for a change as it is as my 2007 is well used because of crashes on my machines and multiple machines at that.

I have used the OO one but I find it rather ponderous. To me if I buy a Microsoft Home and Student I should be allowed to use it as many times as I like at home I mean I don;t have to go out and buy a CD after I have listened to it it for a couple of times eh??

I know what you mean. Libro is a fork of OO as of last year when it looked like Oracle might abandon it so it is pretty much the same. If I remember correctly you can't even install both on the same PC because of clashes.
