FREE Great Programs for Windows 7

It doesn't get the chance to call home when I use it. I have it on my netbook, and I use it at a friend's house with the wireless disabled.

Foxit Reader doesn't get a chance to phone home from my Win 7 x64 desktop either because I have it blocked from doing so in the Comodo firewall.

I moved to Foxit some time ago after hanging onto Adobe for ages and still like it. I wonder if the "phone home" is just an auto update check? I should check if the portable version does the same thing.
Foxit doesn't seem to have an OCR - maybe Nitro does?

I get an entry that Foxit Reader was blocked from phoning home in the Comodo firewall events log each and every time I open Foxit Reader.

IcoFX has been updated to 2.0 after 2 years.

Sadly, not free anymore though in the new version. Trial basis until buy.
Old 1.64 version is still free.


Pretty sure it was on the list before, guess it was already taken off.

Good Idea. You also might like to try Greenfish Icon Editor Pro. It looks quite similar. Greenfish Software

I'm impressed. It will even open Office 2010 documents although you have to save them in Office 97/2003 format if you change them but even so it will please those who don't like the ribbon me included.
