The driver link mentioned is the most compatible driver provided by laptop manufacturer but if you are not able to install that then get in touch with the laptop manufacturer.

In that case, you may have to assume there is a problem with your graphics card and it may need replacing.

If your laptop is under warranty I'd advise getting in touch with the manufacturer or the reseller to get it repaired or replaced.

You have the Intel graphics driver installed as well? From what I can see your laptop uses both the Intel and Nvidia graphics; the Intel for low power use, and the Nvidia for more graphically demanding tasks. Also known as switchable graphics or as Nvidia likes to call it "Optimus Technology".

In your case you need to have both drivers installed for things to work properly, likely with the Intel installed first for the Nvidia driver to install correctly.

Thanks for that information, stormy. It was something I wasn't aware of. I'd like to rep you, but couldn't input a reason. Does that mean Gurus are not allowed to rep each other?

Both the Intel and NVIDIA drivers are available in this link: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=K52Jc&p=3&s=245
