I just killed 1 more dragon(a "blood dragon" tougher then the rest of the dragons) 1 mammoth and 1 giant all within seconds from each other lol, i got owned by the dragon easily, so tried a different tactic, he followed me to the verry close by giant camp, there they fought,i kept "shouting" him so he couldn't fly, and when they were all weak, i ran in and started swinging my blade. lol

Now again this could spoil stuff for some(don't know how or why,but maybe it will, sorry if it does) But the reason I am posting this, is if you go to the place where the dragon(the one I mention above) sleeps, "shearpoint" you get a litle surprise called "krosis", tough for a dead guy. Anyway if you manage to kill him, you get his mask, which gives you a 20% boost on alchemy,archery and lock-picking. AND the rock thing where you get your shouts from gives you a new shout, but 3 levels of it! Not a super cool shout, but comes in handy,the 3 levels of it are Kinda like the push one you first learn.

I attached a screenshot of where the place to go is on the map.

If you allready know this,then good for you, those who don't, this is some good fighting(very strong dragon, and dead guy) and nice rewards.

ps, i don't know how to hide the screenshot so not everyone can see it, so if you feel it will spoil the game in anyway,um...sorry but try not to look

I found a blood dragon up some mountains near where the cat people live.

It kept owning me! And then a saber tooth kept pissing me off lol and then I got bored as I kept forgetting to quick save so it was like a 5min run to the same spot.. I lost my horse lol

Its at the very north west of the map, like the second key point in.

I'm useless with names lol I think if I remember it looks like a arrow head of land pointing nw lol... Doesn't help I know. Ill be home from work in 9 hours lol ill have a name then.. :'( 9 hours waa!

I just want Bethesda to hurry up and release their developer tools or whatever they're calling it (hopefully with detailed, more than merely adequate instructions on how to use it as well) because I want to try my handiwork at making custom houses and companions, or at least to tweak what's already there to my liking. IMO, they don't put enough storage into the pre-built houses and also IMO, they suck. Sorry, but they do... very tiny and cramped and nothing but damn crates and decor. Oblivion had WAY more nooks and crannies to stuff everything away into and those houses rocked the freaking game for me (wish they would have done a kind of Sims thing with building without requiring a separate program to do it, but whatever works). I hope DLC comes along, like that battle manor (can't remember its exact name off-hand).

As for the companions... ugh, especially if you're playing a male Khajiit and want to get him hitched 'cause they neglected (or so I believe thus far) to put a female Khajiit in there who can marry. I'm just not into bi-species setups lmfao. Sucks you can't just use the command console to edit a companion... I'd prefer that to having to deal with tools and crap.


But so far, loving the gameplay itself and I'm over the moon my system can handle it without stuttering and the rest (I thought for sure there'd be NO WAY as my system struggles with Oblivion, but that's not an issue with Skyrim thankfully).

4) Nude Females : Yes.. this is an adult mod. It only changes what is underneath female NPC armor.. should you decide to remove it once they are dead.... ( Protip: Holding down "E" over an object allows you to move it )

I lost count of the hours I spent 'arranging' corpses in oblivion. It was worth it just to scroll the save game images.

The companions need an icon or a 'Get the hell here now command'.

I was given lydia tonight and half the time I turn around she's no where to be seen. NPC pathing sucks for the companions.

Aside from the odd frame dip and stutter here and there, with the inherent engine glitches; it's been a remarkably smooth experience so far.

But after being pwned a few too many times by high power mages I've decided that it's time to go to the mages college and start leveling up my magica/destruction skills. Just started but the mages quests are going awesome!

But after being pwned a few too many times by high power mages I've decided that it's time to go to the mages college and start leveling up my magica/destruction skills. Just started but the mages quests are going awesome!

I went with this combo for handling mages..

1 - find the Stallion Stone near Solitude. It allows you to hold an extra 100 pounds and also removes any movement restrictions from heavy armor.

2 - Find several Shields and Armor that increase your Fire/Frost/Magic resistance and carry a big damn sword.

3 - ???

4 - Profit

Hmm, somehow I ended up using two handed weapons... Need to go back to one handed for a while and build that up...

But yeah I need a lot more magic resist on my armor/shield AND some nice ranged attacks. Those ice spears are pretty deadly.

Heh anyone else find the enemies using dragon shouts on you to make you drop your weapons both extremely irritating and extremely funny at the same time?

Yeah, the undead boss fights seem to have alot of that going on. The first time it happened I thought my prized (at the time) sheild and sword were gone.. until I found them again on the other side of the room!

Take a trip west of Solitude and look for Meridia's statue. The ensuing quest will end with the sword "DawnBreaker" in your inventory. A very nice weapon for handling the legions of Undead you face down in the depths of Skyrim. . .

Oh, and if you work on your shield skills, you can get the perk that lets the shield absorb magic attacks if you block them.

Yeah the houses really do suck. The one I got in whiterun is very cramped and everytime I go upstairs I hit my head and get stuck for a second.

Anyway if you complete the mage's college quest in Winterhold you get the Archmage quarters which is quite large, and way more space to put and organize stuff.

And the places you might be thinking about in Oblivion are Battlehorn Castle, and if you were a mage you wanted Frostcrag Spire. I had both places though I preferred Frostcrag Spire.

Anyway I haven't come across a place like Battlehorn Castle in Skyrim yet, but I'm not where near finishing the game.

You know what sucks? I am traveling around xploring caves and son, but for some reason the old dragon spots, where i killed a dragon, for some reason those dragon are reborn, ruffly my dragon kill count is 19 cause i spent 13 souls on shout upgrades, and i know i killed around 6 or 7 before i knew about spending souls on shouts, now does anyone else here have the same thing of dead dragons re-apearing? I actually had to kill two dragons at hte same time and spot, ANDhadto kill that stupid blood dragon again, but this time it did't "desolve" and i could take it's soul...

What I found weird is that that while at the mage college a fire dragon attacked it, I went inside for cover, came back outside and he was gone. Went back inside the college, then went to leave again (all within 10 minutes) was set upon by a frost dragon.

I guess they alternate in appearance - frost, fire

Yeah, did you get any with names? I got two with names( usually its ither,fire,ice,blood and so on ) but i got two with name, something like firton or firtian...couldn't remember exactly, but it was something in that line lol

Yeah the first time it happened I was like WTF just happened -One minute I have a sword, next I just have my fists :huh:

Anyway I just switch to destruction spells to slow them down. I'm a dark elf.

Mod on skyrim nexus to make your horse sprint faster, going to try that out tonight! He is a stodgy thing.

It's fun/not fun trying to find your horse after he ran away from an attack or just wandered off while you were fighting. Someone asked to be able to whistle for your horse. That was a great feature of Red Dead Redemption. I mean if you could tie him up it wouldn't be necessary. If in RL you didn't tie your horse and he wandered off you would deserve looking far and wide for him, but baring that the whistle would be nice...

It helps prevent CTD on Skyrim, it might also work on other games. i haven't tried it with others, if anybody wants to give it a go and report on it. just open it up and select your skyrim.exe and patch, not the launcher the main .exe. hopefully this helps people out with constant CT'D i know it helped me out. also what kinds of fps are you guys averaging? i got mine with everything turned up at 1360 x 768 and i average about 82. i do notice a drop in frames near the collage in winterhold but it only drops like 10-15 so not a big deal for me.

They silently sent out a 18 MB update to Skyrim that tied TESV.exe into Steam the other day, that also broke the ability to use the LAA patch. People got pissy. They took it off the skrimnexus site. It doesn't work anymore if you had Skyrim Auto updated. Or manually updated. Have to use newly posted "4GB Skyrim" on skyrimnexus now if you want it enabled.
