it's a weird problem. my pen tablet works completely ok in windows 7 ultimate 32-bit but fails to work properly in windows 7 home 64-bit. for the 64-bit pc, i tried using older windows version compatibility methods but it doesn't work.

i checked the software cd, it's suitable for windows 7 but doesn't specify it's for both 32 and 64 bit.

could it be a software incompatibility for 64-bit pc that results in my problem?

thanks.

I recommend going to the manufacturers website and seeing if they have software for your device that is specifically for 64-bit. Or you can give us the exact make and model of your device and one of us will look for you.

it's a lesser known brand. drivers not available from their website.

since it works ok in 32-bit, it is def not pen or tablet fault? i can only think of software issues with 64-bit pc.

It sounds like the disc does not contain a 64-bit driver, which just sounds silly now-a-days. The best I can recommend is to do a google search for something like "[insert name of product] does not work 64-bit" without the quotation marks and see what pops up. I have solved many problems using that method and found many solutions for other people on here that way ;)
