I would say so yes, just transfer them to the same folder. Most games are found in a folder names something like. 'Games' or 'My Games'. Some folders are named after the game itself or its developer.

Check in 'C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Saved Games'

There may be some hidden there.

It does depend on what game your talking about.

Also look in,

C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming

as well as the game's folder depending on the game, as some like to use either of those instead of in the Documents folder.

There's no single general loaction for all games to be saved in. What I've done for myself and my wife, is to set up SyncToy to grab each folder for each game (where the saves are) and copy them to an external, or in our case, a WHS we have running.

This.

I also suggest to look in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore as some "old" games like Beach Life store the save files directly in the game's main folder.

This results in them having the savegames in the Virtual Store if UAC is enabled (it quite only applies to old games though, the pre-Vista ones, so it's OK to me).

Fortunately enough, quite all of the recent games use to save data within the user's personal folders.
