Hey.

I have attached a picture of the Blue Screen error that I get whenever I start up my computer. My specs are:

NVIDIA GEFORCE 7900
WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM, 32-BIT

If I start my computer in safe mode then it looks like the second attachment, with a weird pattern all over the screen (and also in the wrong resolution, but I assume that's a standard safe mode feature?).

What is going on? My computer has been inactive for months. I used it for a few days, but one morning when I turned it on I just got this.. which makes me baffled as to why it has happened!

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the information.

Can other people confirm this to be the case? Not that I don't trust you Lottiemansion, I'd just like a 'second opinion' before splashing the cash!!

Yes thats a clear sign of a defective graphics card, you may test it with OCCT(won't work in safe mode)

Replace/RMA the card.

Thanks for that information. However, I will be unable to run that program since I can't access my computer expect when it is in safe mode.

Do you have any suggestions for what graphics card to get? I don't have much money to spend and I'm inexperienced when it comes to knowing what is good. Something a bit better than my current one would be fine, really.

The GT520 or GT440 would be a good replacement.
