I believe I have a Samsung 128GB SSD, model MMCQE28G8MUP. It's a couple of years old, though, so results may not be relevant to a new Samsung model.



I don't know what is considered "fast", so could someone reply and explain these numbers and tell me how I did.

Also, was this benchmark program supposed to run for hours and tie up my machine? Isn't that an awful lot of disk IO for a type of disk which has a limited lifespan?

You see the red where it says pciide - BAD in the upper left? This usually means you don't have AHCI enabled. Right now your numbers are very bad I hate to say. Have a look here:

Stu, your score should be in the 300+ range, those access times are very bad.

AHCI mode will help.

I just updated my system specs - well, the ones I knew how to get an answer for - in my CP. I will have to pick this up tomorrow. I must sleep now.

System Info is a good spec tool.

You can also try Speccy Free System information Utility.

Hey guys I just tested mine with ATTO an AS SSD. I got completely different results.





Can anyone give some input? I also see my disk under Defrag (shouldnt it be hidden?)
I have a Corsair Force GT 60, stock FW.

WHS I agree. According to AS SSD, the disk is aligned, but not the best alignment. WHS has a tutorial on alighnin an SSD that I can't seem to find right now, but I'm sure he knows right where it is.

It is easier for me because I have all URLs of my tuts in one folder. And even there I have to search because there are 32 by now plus a few others that are only on Vimeo and YouTube, LOL.
