So thing is my display driver - Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.

I have a Panasonic CF-51ECCDBBM Model.

So here is what happened---

I was a frequent user of the OS - Windows XP and my driver worked fine, I could play many low quality and few high quality games. But I tend to get infected when I was on XP. So I switched to a new OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601) it automatically installed a the current driver I have as of now. When I try to play games on it, they will not work. When I try to play the Windows 7 Card game it lags terribly. I have done things such as the Windows Experience Index, Updating my driver via device manager, dxdiag, and several blogs and help sites. If possible can anyone help me or reccommend drivers that are compatible with my current OS and is substantially better than the piece of crap driver I have now?

terkking, welcome to the Seven Forums.

The reason nothing is working properly is because it is using the default Windows 7 driver, which provides just enough to get an image on the screen. Unfortunately from what i can find about that model of laptop,

Panasonic Toughbook 51 Notebook (CF-51ECCDBBM) in Notebooks at Dazzit! (USA)

is it has the old ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics in it, and there is not now and never will be a Windows 7 driver for it. About the best you're going to get for it is the last XP driver for it. You are also going to have to use whatever driver Panasonic has available for it as the reference ATI driver will not install on it.

If you're feeling adventurous you can try using this,

Mobility Modder - ATI Version, Install the Latest Drivers on your ATI laptop

on this version of ATI driver,

ATI Catalyst 9.3 WHQL Windows XP 32-bit download from Guru3D.com

and it might then install. Regardless of which you go for you will likely have to use compatibility mode,

to get it to install.

Just a comment. You were infected when using XP, so switched to Win 7. The operating system, by itself, does not protect you from viruses and malware. Be sure to use a virus scanner such as Microsoft Security Essentials. Also, it's nice to have malwarebytes installed.

Otherwise, just follow the good advice of stormy listed above.

Yes, I have done those. I want to clarify that; I kept getting infected with many viruses even with protection on xp, so I switched my os (AFTER SCANNING AND DELETING AS MANY INFECTIONS AS POSSIBLE).

I do not have the requirements to install ATI Catalyst 9.3 WHQL Windows XP 32-bit

Did you try Stormy's suggestion of compatibility mode?

Actually I just used this mode, but I keep getting a persistent error everytime I try to install it.
