Stuck on BIOS

Okay, so I got a new HDD recently (if this could be of relevance). Anyways, everything was working fine, I had just finished installing everything 2 days ago. Today, my computer freezes. I reboot it, and the mouse and keyboard don't work, and I am stuck on the BIOS screen. It will not go past this point, and I cannot access the BIOS.

So does anyone know what may be wrong with my computer? =S

Reset BIOS with jumper move. See BIOS manual. Still not working?

Check your RAM. Remove all but one stick. Boot. Got BIOS or BIOS error beep? Stick is good. Repeat with each stick.

All sticks pass - place all RAM on board. Boot. Still not working?
Any sticks fail? Replace stick.

Disconnect power and connector cables from all the HDD/ODD/SSD drives. Still not working?

Test, or replace, power supply. Still not working?

Remove all cards possible. You can even remove your video card and listen for the POST beep(s) if applicable. Still not working?

Replace onboard battery (cheap last resort test). Still not working?

Indicates mobo or CPU fault.

Examine all cable/wiring carefully. Reseat every connector. Look for shorts/burned wires.

I was out for a bit - after reseating all of the cards, check the RAM first. It is the most vulnerable of the components, and the easiest to check.

Well since the HD is new, I would try unplugging it and booting to see if it POSTs

When a HD goes bad, some times older BIOS freak out when initializing the controller. It will try (infinitely) to recognize the drive, and never post.

I have had this happen a few times before on me, with HDs and DVD ROMs. I would just pull the power and SATA/IDE cable on the drive, and try powering it on. If it will POST, prob the drive.

If it doesn't follow what Ant recommends.
