Says it supports 16 Gigs.

ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS P7H55-V

Do you have a video card installed ?

Go into task manager click performance click resource monitor click memory and it will show you what`s up.

This particular pc has 4 gigs but shows 2.94 as useable but as you can see in this shot it all adds up to 4096 MBs.

I believe that translates to the missing 4130 mb is reserved for hardware, likely your video card.

Check in BIOS setup to see how much RAM is apportioned to your video card.

There may be other hardware also using RAM.

well, what i have changed in my pc minutes before it happened. was new power 900W, Corsair H70 and a new harddisc with 1 TB. i took out the harddisc after it happened. cause i thought it might hade something to do with it.

If that 4130mb translates to Reserved by Hardware then all of your RAM is being used. I told you how to check in BIOS how much is being used by Video card.

its like 800mb been used by the video card

If the translation I did is correct (Is it?) then some hardware is reserving the 4 gb. Can you apportion more to video card in BIOS to see what changes on chart?

Are there any other listings in BIOS setup for hardware apportioned RAM?

Check your BIOS for a "memory remap" option and make sure it is enabled.

By default those options should be unchecked and not used. You don't set them unless you are troubleshooting. It can't hurt to check them and make sure those two check boxes are empty (unchecked) though.
