What do you chaps think? How should I change this?

Thank you for that, very helpful! I am set on the noctua mainly because of the customer support and the silence of the fans compared to the phanteks. The phanteks are slightly bigger than the noctua though. I have already checked and both my ram and mobo is compatible. I am building a case around the hardware so that isn't a problem. As for the third fan, apparently, they sent the clips free. For the fan, I think the 120mm would be better as someone posted earlier in this thread as ram slots are on both ends of this mobo. Therefore, they have to be the same fans at the ends. My question now is about controlling the CPU fan with the fan controller. Thank you very much for the help.

You can run a controller, but I run mine 100% all the time and can't hear them. They come with 2 resistors if you want to use them, which slow the fans down, but trust me, you won't need them.

Oh right, Ok, that is good to know, I probably will run them through the fan controller, sometimes just for maybe late at night browsing or similar low requirement use it would be very nice to keep them very quiet. I can just turn them down a little. How about a third fan, do you recommend it? Thanks for your help, I can't tell you guys how much it is appreciated!

A third fan would help, but just a little. But, however you look at it, cooler is better. But, I would suggest you try them at 100%, You'll be very surprised. I have 5 Noctua's in my case right now, hooked up directly to the PSU. I can hear nothing except my GPU.

Ok, thank you, very helpful! I will start with the stock two on the noctua and then add one afterwards so, my spec is looking like this:

Case: I have decided that I will build a wooden one, it has been done many times before and there aren't too many problems with it.

CPU: Intel i7 3930k Intel BX80619I73930K Core i7-3930K 6-Core Processor (3.2GHz (3.8GHz Turbo), Socket 2011, 12MB L3 Cache, Turbo Boost 2.0): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

RAM: GSkill Ripjaws Z GSkill Ripjaws Z Series 1600 CL 9.0 16GB Memory Kit - Red (4x 4GB, DDR3, Quad Channel, Intel XMP Certified): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

GPU: 2GB AMD 7850 HIS HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 DVI HDMI Dual Mini DisplayPort.. | Ebuyer.com

1st HDD: 90GB Corsair Force GT Corsair CSSD-F90GBGT-BK Force Series 90GB Solid State Drive: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

2nd HDD: 1.5TB caviar black Western Digital 1.5TB SATA 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive - Caviar Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories Will probably add another of these later.

Disk Drive: Will see what I can get, Samsung, LG, whatever really!

PSU: 1000w Silverstone SST-ST1000-G Strider 1000W Power Supply - Scan.co.uk

CPU cooling: Noctua, may get a third fan for it later, will see how it goes. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noctua-D14-...1_8?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1333160009&sr=1-8

Thermal compound: Will use the one that comes with the Noctua

Sound card: Not going to get one :)

OS: Win 7 home premium

Keyboard: Microsoft 2000 Play.com - Buy Microsoft Business 2000 Keyboard - Wireless - RF - Black online at Play.com and read reviews. Free delivery to UK and Europe!

Case Fans: Cooler master megaflow 200 Cooler Master Megaflow 200 Blue LED Fan: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Fan Controller: Am probably going to get this, the number of channels is what persuades me. Scythe Kaze Q-12 Channel Fan Controller 5.25 Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Eyefinity adapter: Still undecided!

1st, 2nd & 3rd Monitors: http://www.cclonline.com/product/53...roLite-E2473HDS-24-inch-LED-Monitor-/MON2871/

Total: £1915 (~$3,066) including fans, not including adapter, disk drive and Win 7.

Now, is there anything in that spec that i have missed that I will require to build my pc apart from an anti static wrist band?

The fans included with the NH-D14 SE2011 are PWM fans. With a motherboard that supports PWM, they run at variable speed depending on cooling needs.

I'm running one of the older NH-D14 with a Socket 2011 adapter and non-Noctua PWM fans. They are audible when running at 100%, but quieter than the GPU fan.

Since your case will be custom wood you might consider adding a multi-card reader and a USB 3.0 front panel for two 3.5" bays, very handy.

Thanks, I already have a multicard reader that I was going to put in. I hadn't thought about the USB 3 panel though. I'll consider it, I don't know whether I will need it or not! Thanks for the ideas though, much appreciated! So, I have everything I need in that spec to build my pc?
