Just been upgraded by my broadband provider here in the UK, am actually paying less for this new service, thanks to a loyalty discount, was running at 10mb/s prior to this, what's more they are doubling the Broadband speeds in a few months, free of charge!! They are working on doubling the upload speeds too.

60Mb/s here we come

I am in the UK, and with a company called Plusnet, I imagine you have heard of them?

I got Fibre to the cabinet as soon as it came to my area a couple of months back, and then they started an 80/20 trial where any customers currently on their FTTC could try it at no extra cost. Of course I went for it and it's fantastic.

Pretty good value for what you get, is their network available everywhere via FIBRE?

I like the idea of faster uploads too, they should focus their attention on this more.

yeah, fibre to home
the BT test should read 100mb but there is an issue, they said when the speeds go up again in a few months they will correct it as i am happy to live with 92 mb for now

And for consistency so we get a good idea, How much do BT charge for that service, if you dont mind me asking?

I will be getting 60MB plus about 5MB upload for £17 a month with Virgin in due course, £21.00 is standard I think
