I have a HP Pavillion. and I love it.
But..

It is full of bloatware.

What is, a real easy way of getting rid of all these programs that I don't want, nor need ?

Also, it has a lot of games installed. I don't want them either.

I don't want peripheral.. I want tunnel.

First you back up your existing System. Then you download an ISO image of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (your OS as per your specs) from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life. After that make a Windows 7 Installation DVD from it.

Once the DVD is ready, clean install Windows 7 from that and use your existing genuine Product Key to activate Windows, if need be by phone from Microsoft.

This shall install a retail version o0f Windows 7 without any bloatware. If everything goes well then you can discard the system image of the existing system that you had made.

Good luck to you.

I didn't know about PC Decrapifier when I bought this, and it had shovel-ware up to the gills.

Uninstalled the crap manually, then spent a couple of hours manually editing the registry (yes
I do know what I'm doing) as I did with my last 'factory install', and am now very happy with it.

Starts and runs much better. And just FEELS more slick and stable.

Am currently running Win 7 HP 64-bit, but will do a clean install when I switch to W7 Ultimate
in the next few months.

**I did run PC Decrap a week or so ago, and it would appear that I succeeded in getting rid of most of it**

HP/Compaq has the worst bloatware in the industry. I've "de-crapified" a few HP/Compaqs, and having done so I don't recommend wasting the time, because HP is notorious for installing stuff you can't get rid of. Get yourself a clean copy of Windows 7 and install it; you'll spend less time in the end, believe me.

Oh Whoah... now I've REALLY done it !

I installed and ran PCdecrapifier. Then I ran Privacyeraser Pro, then, Ccleaner, then a hard boot, to ensure (that) I have really killed some stuff.

A lot of the stuff , I didn't have a clue about. Just took wild crazy guesses.
Mostly, I got rid of anything that was HP.

What an absolutely and dangerous knife, that was.

I haven't had so much fun for ages !

:)

Sometimes cleaning up the preinstalled factory bloatware damages System files worse than having the crap installed. So run SFC -SCANNOW Command.

In what way is the tutorial too much? We're here to answer questions if you need it.

..wait, I'll open that link first.

I ran CHKDSK. But a real big scan.
A scan to detect any problems and to fix them.
It took oh sooo long.

Now, my computer is running at lightning speed.
I have never ever seen my computer run so fast.

I ran privacy eraser pro, and then Ccleaner, and they ran so fast it was scary.
My PC boots fast and shuts down fast.

Now, something has happened..I don't know what it is, but the speed is phenomenal.
