Hard Drive first not booting Windows, now not recognized in BIOS

Not yet. Had some free time so I whipped it out and fired her up. Wait. That sounds bad. Meh. Anyway, yeah, at least BIOS recognizes the HDD again. That's a plus. One step closer. I'm praying I don't have to replace the MB. Dell's are bad enough. I've never swapped a Samsung before. This is why I prefer building desktops.

Crap. Once again the HDD is not recognized in BIOS. I'm completely baffled. I don't know what to do.

Sorry for all the posts. It seems that when I disconnect the power cord, the HDD shows up in BIOS. When the cord is connected, it will not. This gets stranger and stranger.

As it is a laptop, I cannot find the CMOS Battery. I have reset the defaults to no avail.
