Windows 7 activation with new product key

OK, I wasn't sure if all the issues had been solved. The rum and coke I'm drinking may have something to do with that though.
One of these days I am going to learn how to read those MGADiag reports. The little I know about SLIC activation was learned while working on a PC that somebody upgraded to Windows 7 for free. :sarc: It now has the original windows Vista installed.

The Notification can be caused by a race condition.
Usually it will then disappear on a reboot - only (perhaps) to reappear again later, possibly later on in the boot as the system settles down and the AV completes its startup scan.
The most common cause of such race conditions is the AV interfering with system access to critical files, which the system interprets as tampering, and puts a notification up.
If you then immediately run MGADiag, the act of running the tool forces a re-evaluation, and the notification disappears again.

There isn't one.
This comes from reading something like 10000 MGADiag reports over a period of years - and participating in the specialist MS WGA forums for that period.

How true! I suspect that one reason is that MS doesn't want to make it any easier for the priates than they absolutely have to - there's almost no KB's anywhere on the workings of WGA, MGA. OGA, or WAT
