Windows XP SP2 ---> SP3 on old pc

hi, i have an old pc with a Pentium 4 Northwood @2.53GHz, 2 GB DDR, ASUS P4S8X motherboard and an ATI 9600 PRO 256MB. I use it to play old games. (OS: Windows XP Pro 32bit SP2)

Every performance boost is important since the pc is very old.
This is my question:
will the Service Pack 3 slow the computer?

Visit this site and if you can install SP3 and you see that your computer is slowing down then you can do an uninstaal or a restore. Please make a restore point or an image before trying the update.

How can I uninstall Service Pack 3? I never founded the way to do it...
