I have spent all day trying to get my computer to boot up. It is a Dell Latitude 6410 with factory installed Windows 7 Pro 32 bit.
I was able to fix this problem once a few days ago. I was working on my forum and decided to reboot after a windows update. It came up giving me the choice of doing a start up repair or normal start. The normal start would not work so I tried a start up repair. This took care of the problem.
This morning the same thing happened. Start up repair runs for a very long time but when I click finished it still comes back to a choice of start up repair or normal start.
The computer will not come up in safe mode. I tried using F12 to try and use the original windows 7 disk, no luck. The disk spins for a little while then nothing happens. The computer then tried to boot again off of the hard drive again.
Any advice on what to do next?
