All I can get you right now is a snip of podcast transcript from last podcast at http://www.grc.com/securitynow.htm

STEVE: Firefox updated to - we're at v13 now. And we were at 13.0. We moved to .1 because there was a subtle problem that the latest version of Adobe's Flash had with an obscure conflict with something called RealPlayer Browser Record, which some people had installed in Firefox, and lord help them because you know how we feel about RealPlayer. I know Elaine, it's the only thing she can use for transcribing, so we understand, Elaine, you're still using it.
LEO: You're the one who's still using it, yeah.
STEVE: Who needs it, who needs it, probably. Anyway, so Firefox. Adobe said you can move back to a prior version of Flash, but Firefox stepped up and fixed it. It was, again, a very subtle interaction with the sandboxing, the new Firefox sandboxing technology for Flash which is hoping to contain future Flash problems and prevent them from turning into exploits. That interacted in some bizarre way with RealPlayer's Browser Record, and so Firefox has been updated to fix that.

I'm pretty sure I heard it mentioned in one of the daily podcasts here too: Network Security Podcast and ISC "StormCasts" | SANS Internet Storm Center; Cooperative Network Security Community - Internet Security

Can't remember where I actually read about it, as although I had heard about it in those podcasts, I didn't read much of it as I hadn't seen the problem. Until I saw it mentioned here in the forums.

It is FF 13.0.1 and fixes one of the problems with Flash.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=747683

And then Adobe fixed another problem with Flash ver 11.3.300.262

Flash 11.3 crashes | Troubleshooting | Firefox Help

But there is still a bug which deals with Real Player add on.

Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox | Troubleshooting | Firefox Help

Multiple problems with Flash 11.3.300.xxx and not all have been fixed. It's kind of hard to decipher which problem you may have as they all seem related. I don't use Real Player and have not had any problems with FF 13.0 and Flash 11.3.300.xxx but have updated both to the latest anyway.

I have not encountered the Real Player Record whatchamacallit problem. The first I knew I even had that was when the Mozilla folks pushed out an automatic update that disabled the thing a couple of weeks ago. My reaction was a shrug & an "OK" & I moved on.

With FFx 13.0.1, Flash videos don't play in Protected Mode. I've posted that comment a couple of times but I had not mentioned the FFx version number before. 13.0.1 is the version number I have, and pushing the Check for Updates button in the About FFx box just now says I'm up to date. So to get Flash videos to play with the latest FFx & the latest Flash, you must disable Protected Mode. At least, on my system. If anybody has it working differently, meaning at all in Protected Mode, I sure hope you speak up.

If you have Real Player installed then turning Protected Mode OFF will probably fix the problem for now, or remove Real Player plugin from FF. Hopefully FF, Adobe and Real Player will come up with a solution soon.

Oh. Duh. Now I get it. I do indeed have 5 items listed as enabled in the Plugins related to Real Player. Only the item RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin (listed in Extensions -- yeah, I know, a Plugin listed under Extensions and not Plugins) is disabled, and that because the Mozilla folks pushed out an update that disabled it.

Five Plugins to support Real Player. Sheesh. Actually, 6 altogether. What a monster. Whatever. Some day somebody will push out an update that will make Flash Protected Mode play nice with the other pieces. Until then, I'm perfectly happy to run in Unprotected Mode. What with Spybot, Malwarebytes, AVG, and MS Security Essentials in place, I'm reasonably confident no threat will make it through the minefield.

New Flash Player 11.4 Beta available.

Date: July 16, 2012
version: 11.4.400.231

Release notes
   Information

Concurrency (ActionScript Workers) — This feature enable developers to off-load certain tasks like high-latency operations and long-running computations to “workers”. These background workers run concurrently in order to leverage more machine resources and avoid things like UI freezes and allow content to be more responsive.

Stage3D constrained mode
— A new parameter to Context3D has been introduced called "constrained profile". Constrained profile allows Stage3D content to run hardware accelerated on more hardware, especially the Intel GMA chipsets. The Starling framework has been updated to be constrained mode ready.

StageVideo.attachCamera
— Provides webcam support for StageVideo. This allows developers to leverage GPU acceleration to render webcam video streams.

Camera.copyToByteArray/Camera.copyToVector
— Allow efficient copy of the video frames pixels to an existing ByteArray or Vector.

LZMA support for ByteArray — In addition to zlib compression of ByteArray, we are introducing an additional compression type based on LZMA to compress data inside a ByteArray through ByteArray.compress() and ByteArray.uncompress()."
