Fair warning before reading this thread, I don't have a lot of time on my hands and contacting me via skype or phone would be TEN times easier, PM me if interested in helping me, like seriously, this is urgent because I am going off to college soon and need to have all of my issues fixed :| but any ways here we go..

Just upgraded my build to the new 3770k i7 processor, GA-Z77-D3H motherboard, and 16gb (4x4) ddr3 1600 corsair vengeance RAM

Even after upgrading I am still having this SAME blue screen that was getting before hand so I can definitely say it isn't my mobo, processor or RAM. however it MIGHT be my graphics card (6970), because I wasn't having the issues before I had that, but I was having other blue screens so I don't really know exactly... I also upgraded to a ssd and now windows is installed on that which wasn't what I used to do so the situation is a lot different now..

I honestly don't know what to do at this point, I need help. I am posting all of the appropriate info as attatchments please help out.

Oh this BSOD JUST happened to me about 4 hours ago in the middle of a League of Legends match. It has happened just just opening google chrome before, but mainly while gaming and using both monitors for games and what not.

lemme know if I can post any information, I will do so instantly because I get emails to my phone when someone posts, so if you have something to say please say it!

thanks for all the help,
sean!

- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? 64 bit
- the original installed OS on the system? Windows 7
- an OEM or full retail version? OEM
- OEM = came pre-installed on system
- Full Retail = you purchased it from retailer

- What is the age of system (hardware)? mobo, processor, ram is brand new
gpu is about 6 months old as well as my ssd, psu is about 5 years old, hdd is about 5 years old
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) maybe 30 days?

Might I add that my GPU drivers will not install to the 12.4 Version, They are stuck at 11.5 (even now after I upgraded).

don't know if this is related of if anyone knows what I'm talking about but, I do the proper deleting of all the appropriate folders and such (hidden ones as well), drivers, and everything related to ATI/AMD and then do the reinstall of the 12.4 catalyst suite yet I end up with the 11.5 every time.

I also pinpointed my event viewer to be an error of 6008 right before my critical error of shutdown..

at least I THINK I did, if someone wants to help me double check this, that would be great. (that is if this info is needed)

I did not reinstall, would that be part of the issue? I don't see how it could be since I had the same error before hardware upgrade..

When you change the motherboard Windows 7 thinks it's a new computer. You have Windows 7 OEM. I would call Microsoft to activate. I found this it might help.

Applies to all editions of Windows 7.

Compare editions

Activate Windows 7 on this computer

You must activate Windows within 30 days of installation. Activation helps verify that Windows on your computer is genuine and hasn't been used on more computers than the Microsoft Software License Terms allow. In this way, activation helps prevent software counterfeiting. For more information, see Activating Windows 7: frequently asked questions.
To activate online, you'll need your Windows 7 product key. You can find your product key on the computer or inside the Windows package—or in a confirmation e‑mail if you purchased and downloaded Windows 7 online. Go to the Microsoft website to see examples of product key stickers. For more information, see Where do I find my Windows 7 product key?
If you can't find your product key, you might need to buy a new one. To learn more, see Get a new Windows 7 product key. If you receive an error message saying that your product key is not valid when installing Windows 7, see Windows 7 activation error: invalid product key.
Activate using the Internet

When you begin the activation process, Windows tries to detect an Internet connection. If one is found, you can activate online. If you use a modem to connect to the Internet but aren't currently online, you'll have the option to activate using a modem.
To activate by using a direct connection

  1. Open Windows Activation by clicking the Start button
    4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg
, right-clicking Computer, clicking Properties, and then clicking Activate Windows now.*
  2. If Windows detects an Internet connection, click Activate Windows online now.
    18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Type your Windows 7 product key when prompted, click Next, and then follow the instructions.

To activate by using a modem

  1. Open Windows Activation by clicking the Start button
    4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg
, right-clicking Computer, clicking Properties, and then clicking Activate Windows now.*
  2. Click Show me other ways to activate.
  3. Type your Windows 7 product key, and then click Next.
  4. Click Use my modem to connect directly to the activation service.
    18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  5. Click the location nearest you from the drop-down list, click Next, and then follow the instructions.

Activate using the telephone

If Windows isn't able to activate online, you'll have the option to activate Windows 7 using an automated phone system.

  4. Click Use the automated phone system.
    18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  5. Click the location nearest you from the drop-down list, and then click Next.
  6. Call one of the available phone numbers listed. An automated system will guide you through the activation process.
  7. When prompted, enter the installation ID that's listed on your screen into your phone's keypad.
  8. Write down the confirmation ID that the phone system gives you.
  9. Type the confirmation ID into the space provided under Step 3 in the activation dialog, click Next, and then follow the instructions.
  10. If activation isn't successful, stay on the line to be transferred to a customer service representative who can assist you.

I can easily go and activate it but I don't think this is the issue because when I had it activated before my hardware change... i had the SAME BSOD error.... please consider this.

Well first, you cannot use the same OEM key on your system once your motherboard is replaced. It violates the license agreement with Microsoft. Until you buy a valid key, we are unable to help you further.

Once you have a new key, please follow the Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions again. Post the results in a new post; do not start a new thread.

Just did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with a Student Version that I bought from my college.

Installed all Motherboard Drivers/Chip set but I couldn't install the F14 version of my BIOS which I thought was kind of strange, it said it wasn't compatible with 64bit versions -- yet I got it from the Gigabyte website and there was no option between the 32bit and 64bit BIOS versions, they were all the same downloads.

Also installed my AMD Catalyst Control Center 12.6 Version which actually just came out today, the install went smooth and I had no issues (it installed the proper version this time thank god).

So far everything is running flawless but here is my new MGADIAG report so I can get help from you all again!

It sounds like you tried to use the wrong method to install the BIOS update. You should check your motherboard manual. Here is an excerpt:

Thanks for this!

Installed @BIOS and flashed it properly!

The point of this thread: so far everything is running insanely smooth, I am loving this. I THINK it was my old version of windows that was causing this BSOD sadly.. but it has only been one full day (but I literally gamed all day and had no BSOD), so on that note I think it is good. I will check back daily and update!

Here's some scores of this build .. :p

:( Sadly there is one issue that is happening... twice now. My internet keeps blanking out and stopping. The only way to get it back is if I restart my computer. Another computer hooked up to the same Ethernet Switch as mine is NOT going out so I am confused.

Both times have been in the middle of League of Legends matches, I have itunes running, and chrome with facebook and youtube up.

Temps are staying low on processor as well.. I'm confuzzled right now :(

I attached an event viewer log of when this happened! Any insight or help would be awesome, I love all of you, just saying :D haha

Re-install or install the update for your Realtek LAN Driver. Yours may be corrupted. You will find the Realtek device under Network adapters in Device Manager.

To fully re-install a driver, use the following steps.
  1. First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  4. Click Manage
  5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  6. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  7. Right click the device
  8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  10. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
  11. Install the latest driver for the device.

Performed these steps today and had no issues so far, although I barely was on my computer and didn't get a chance to game extremely hard yet. Hopefully it stays this way though! I love not having issues, it is an amazing feeling.
