Hi guys,
I have Windows 7 Professional and two days ago I turned my computer on and type password to my account and everything seems ok and I go out of my room for several minutes. When I came back Windows was still loading, without any error mesage, it looks good but it wont work. I tried several times to login but i can't, I even tried to login through Safe Mode- same story. The problem is that it is my admin account, I have standard user account which works but I can't use my PC properly by using standard user type of account because when I want to install something or change some system settings I have to type password of admin acc, then when I type it, my screen became dark and I can't do anything, just to turn off a computer by pluging out power cable...

Have you any idea what can cause this problem? I will appreciate your help.

You know the password of administrator account? You know the password of your own made user account with admin rights?

What happens if you enter the wrong password?

I know password of that admin acc that I made. Windows wants the password of that acc and when I tipe right password then PC won't work any more, just dark the screen and I just can move mouse on desktop. When I type wrong password it just says something like user name and password doesn't match.

Can you get in windows recovery environment by tapping F8 multiple times on boot? Select "repair your computer" then "system restore". Go back in time a few days... so go back in time to a state when it was working

Tried that....says that there is no restore points created....:(
I can't find how to acces to admin account whic is created by installing Windows (as on Win XP where when you turn on computer by Safe mode, you have acces to account caled Administrator or something like that). If I could acces to that acc then I could make standard user acc become admin, and transfer all data from acc which is not accessible to accessible acc, it won't wanting pasword when I want to change system settings too, that will give me more space for working and I could solve my problem somewhat.
Do you know how to acces to that hidden admin acc, as on Win XP?

Did you disable restore points??? Was it ever enabled? Did you access the win7 system disk from some other operating system like winxp, linux or recovery dvd like hiren's?

Boot into recovery environment and select "command prompt" and find the drive letter of windows.

DIR C:\
DIR D:\
DIR E:\

Assume drive letter is Q:
Code:
Q:
cd \windows\system32
ren sethc.exe sethc.exe.old
copy cmd.exe sethc.exe

Now reboot machine normally.
On logon screen press SHIFT-key 5 times. Now a command prompt appears. Now you can activate built in admin account.
Code:
[B]Net user administrator /active:yes[/B]

Now reboot again and you can login as user administrator.

You can rename sethc.exe.old to sethc.exe when everything has been fixed.
Net user administrator /active:no
That disables the administartor account
Both can be done in win7

I think that restore points was never enable, because I have never disable it and when guy from the computer shop installed me Windows (from original Windows CD) I wasn't too informed about computers and I don't know what was he doing...I learned soo much in past two years, but back then I didn't know what was he doing, maybe he disable it on installing, I don't know. I don't know how how he acces to win 7 disc too, I don't know how installing OS on new PC works so I can't give you that information. Is there any way to get information about accesing to win 7 CD on computer?

You were able to enter recovery environment using F8? How did you see there were NO restore points? I assume you did it by entering recovery environment using F8 and logged on as an user with admin rights. Did you?

Yes, I have instalation DVD.

Yes I was able. When I go to system restore, it looks like it is processing for about a second and then that window closed and other window with that message pop out. Yes I logged as user with admin rights (that is only situation where my PC don't crash when I try to acces to admin acc).

I think that backuping all data and reinstalling Windows maybe solve my problem

Reinstalling windows isn't necessary at all!! Win7 works. Limited user acoount works. Only the self made admin acoount is hanging/freezing or corrupt.

Man thanks A LOT!! I used first method and it works, I actived that Admin acc :D (even I have some problems because it was my first time doing something like this in CMD, firstly I didn't get how to type, shell I type it all in one line or to press enter after every row, but it works fine now). Now I can install programs and change settings property, I will transform all data to ex Standard user acc and delete ex Admin acc.
AGAIN THANKS A LOT MAN :D
