Trouble with control panel and desktop picture..

I'm not really sure how to explain this..I was trying to change a picture on facebook and some how it ended up as my desktop backround.When I go to the control panel to change it everything locks up..Any ideas

try setting a new wallpaper through your internet browser or other means such as right clicking a photo.

check if other control panel options are freezing. if so I advise a thorough virus and malware scan. perhaps run windows through a repair using the CD if problem. persist.

Right click on a empty spot on your desktop go to properties. You will be able to choose what to keep and what to get rid of.

Sorry to have taken so long to answer.Was in the hospital.Nothing works on the desktop and the whole control panel locks up..Nothingworks on the control panel.

We generally recommend MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) and MBAM (Malwarebytes Anti-Malware) for system scans
Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer
If this doesnt do it and you still suspect issues you can try windows defender offline scan

I have scaned with 3 scanners and nothing shows...:cry:
