I've been having this problem for 2 days on my Acer aspire 1 netbook, one night i turned off my netbook and then i turned it on the next morning and now everytime i turn it on i get this black screen that says:

Windows has failed to start a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem.
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2.Choose your language settings and then click "Next."
3.Click repair your computer
File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Status:0xc000000f
Info:The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

I don't have an installation disc and my netbook does not have a disc slot
I cannot even go into safe mode, and everytime i click repair it brings me back to the black screen!

Can someone please help i wanna use my netbook again this is really frustrating:(

i have the option of reinstalling windows but that would delete everything :(

You need to make an Ubuntu live usb to boot up into to back up all of your data and then you will have to reinstall. First you are going to have to download the Ubuntu installation image onto another computer: Desktop | Ubuntu

Then, follow this tutorial on how to create the usb: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick/

After that, you will need to reboot your system and set it to boot from the usb flash drive. Don't presss anything until Ubuntu loads up to the screen where you can select install Ubuntu or try Ubuntu. Click on try Ubuntu. When the deskop loads, double click on your hard drive on the desktop. Then, open up the Users folder. Once that is open, right click on your user folder and select copy. Then, paste your user folder onto an external hard drive.
